The Petrer City Council has opened a public consultation on the project for the first phase of the covered pavilion, the multi-sports court and the car park at the San Jerónimo sports complex, an intervention budgeted at €1,573,553.72 including VAT. The consultation is open for fifteen business days from the publication of the edict in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Alicante, which disseminates it in its issue No. 152, of 13 August 2026. During that period, any interested party may examine the document and submit any comments they deem appropriate.
This procedural step is adopted by Mayoral Decree No. 2026-2468, of 5 August 2026, in accordance with Article 84 of the Municipal Ordinance on Development and Urban Execution of the General Plan. The document on display is the “Basic and execution project for the 1st Phase of the covered pavilion, multi-sports court and car park at the San Jerónimo sports complex”, drafted by the architect José Antonio Ropero Villena, of QUADRUM ARQUITECTURA, S.L.P.U., and published under reference 6258/2026 in the Local Administration section of the bulletin.
Budget and scope of the intervention
The economic figures included in the project are as follows:
- Contract execution budget for the works: €1,300,457.62.
- VAT (21%): €273,096.10.
- Total budget for the intervention: €1,573,553.72.
The intervention corresponds to the first phase of the San Jerónimo complex and includes a covered pavilion, a multi-sports court and a parking area. It is one of the most significant investments planned in sports facilities by Petrer’s municipal council.
Deadlines and consultation of the file
The project will remain on public display for fifteen (15) business days, counted from the day following the publication of the edict in the official bulletin. The documentation may be consulted on the City Council’s website (http://www.petrer.es/concejalías/urbanismo).
- Comments may be submitted throughout the entire public consultation period.
- Once the period has elapsed, the City Council will resolve all claims and suggestions received.
- Subsequently, the project will be submitted for approval to the Local Government Board.
Legal nature of the act
The edict specifies that, in accordance with Article 112 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, this act is a mere procedural step, and therefore no appeal may be brought against it. The document has been electronically signed.
The processing of this first phase brings Petrer closer to the construction of a new sports facility that will serve the municipality’s residents, with an outlay of nearly 1.6 million euros. The resolution of the objections and the subsequent approval by the Local Government Board will mark the next steps until the start of the works.
