Por FactBox Admin

El OARGT pone al cobro tasas municipales hasta el 20 de noviembre

The Autonomous Body for Tax Collection and Management of Cáceres (OARGT) has issued for collection the fee receipts and tax rolls of numerous municipalities in the province during the voluntary period, which extends from the publication of the announcement until November 20, 2026, without any surcharge. The edict, signed in Cáceres on September 10, 2026, by the head of the Tax Management and Inspection Service, Juan Carlos Heras Pérez, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0180, dated September 21, 2026, in Section I (Local Administration), pages 21622 to 21638, with official reference CVE: BOP-2026-4373.

The announcement affects the receipts corresponding to the municipalities, concepts, and periods detailed in the annex document of the edict, which range from full-year fees to quarterly and semi-annual settlements for water and sanitation services. The measure is supported by section 2-b of article 24 of the current General Collection Regulations, approved by Royal Decree 939/2005, of July 29, which allows payments to be made without surcharge during the voluntary period.

Voluntary period and notice of enforcement

The voluntary payment period opens with the publication of the edict in the Official Gazette of the Province and concludes on November 20, 2026. During this period, taxpayers may pay their receipts without any surcharge.

Once this period has elapsed, the OARGT warns that debts will be demanded through the enforcement procedure (procedimiento de apremio) and will accrue the corresponding surcharge, late payment interest and, where applicable, any costs incurred, in accordance with articles 28 and 161 et seq. of Law 58/2003, of December 17, General Tax Law.

What is being collected: fees, sanitation canon, and IAE

The fee rolls include, for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2026, concepts such as:

  • Garbage, sewerage, cemetery, and driveway crossing fees.
  • Vehicle parking (garages), gutter drainage, and purification.
  • Occupation of public roads, tables and chairs, awnings, terraces, balconies, and overhangs.
  • Luminous and non-luminous advertisements, shop windows and display cases, vehicle filming and towing.
  • Dog ownership and animal transit (cattle, ovine, caprine, porcine, equine, mule, and donkey).

Added to these are the sanitation canon rolls of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura, water supply with VAT, and purification with VAT, with quarterly or semi-annual periods for 2026, as well as MASMEDIO settlements corresponding to previous years. Also being collected are the tax on luxury expenses in Escurial, Portaje, and Torrejón el Rubio, the fee for stalls, huts, and booths in Plasencia (July 2026), and the garbage fee in Salorino (second half of 2026).

The edict also incorporates the 2026 Economic Activities Tax registers, with a list covering virtually all municipalities in the province, from Abadía and Cáceres to Zorita.

How and where to pay

Payment can be made through several channels:

  • At any collaborating financial institution, presenting the payment letter at the counter or ATM.
  • Via direct debit, requesting the forms at any institution or at the OARGT offices.
  • Through the financial institution’s electronic banking, if that service is available.
  • On the website https://oargt.dip-caceres.es, using a credit or debit card (Virtual POS), indicating the issuer, reference, identification, and amount.
  • At the electronic office https://sede.oargt.es, using an electronic certificate or Cl@ve and a credit or debit card.

Public exhibition and appeals

The public exhibition period for the registers is one month starting from the first day of the payment period. During that month, interested parties may consult the register data electronically through the OARGT electronic office or in person at its offices or at the corresponding city council.

Against the public exhibition of the registers and the incorporated settlements, only a motion for reconsideration (recurso de reposición) may be filed before the body that issued the approval resolution, within one month from the day following the end of the public exhibition. Against the resolution of the appeal, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Cáceres within two months, according to Article 14 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.

The announcement affects taxpayers in a large part of the province, who have two months to pay their bills without additional cost; missing the November 20 deadline implies a late payment surcharge, default interest, and possible costs, in addition to the loss of the voluntary payment method.
