The Gil-Albert Institute grants the 2026 Petricor grants to two projects

The Juan Gil-Albert Alicantine Institute of Culture, an autonomous body of the Provincial Council of Alicante, has granted the grants for the III edition of the Petricor 2026 performing arts research residency competition to two projects, and has designated a third application as a reserve. The grant is formalized by the Vice President’s Resolution no. 2026-0203, dated August 13, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Alicante number 171, dated September 9, 2026, in section III of Local Administration.

The beneficiary projects

The resolution approves the jury’s minutes and declares the members of two performing arts research projects as beneficiaries, each with its lead and working group:

• Concepción Rodríguez Martínez (registration 2026-E-RE-403), lead of the project “Rempujo, punzón y lezna”, together with Alicia Reig Jover, Alba Alberola Ayús, Alba Gilabert Sebastián, Carlos Pérez Izquierdo, and María López Carceller Martínez.
• Juan Antonio Blasco Sempere (registration 2026-E-RE-405), lead of the project “COSER Y CANTAR. Costuras y tramas de la memoria”, together with Juan Sabas Pardo Zapata, Marina Etna Reche Suárez, and Adán Aliaga Pastor.

A reserve application

In accordance with the provisions of section II.5 of the call, one application is also designated as a reserve:

• Rosanna Freda (registration 2026-E-RE-404), lead of the project “LA ILUMINATA: Cuerpos visibles, cuerpos ausentes: una investigación sobre la luz, el paisaje y la presencia”, together with María Asunción Noales Alpáñez, Federica Fasano, and Ignacio Romero Carrascosa.

Appeals and deadlines

The resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, may be appealed for reconsideration before the body that issued it within one month, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. A contentious-administrative appeal may also be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Alicante within two months, according to article 46 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, Regulating Contentious-Administrative Jurisdiction. Both deadlines are calculated from the day following the publication in the BOP.

The call thus consolidates the Petricor program as an instrument of support for local performing arts creation, financing research residencies that allow Alicantine collectives to develop their creative processes with the backing of the provincial institution.
