The Valencian Institute of Culture announces 759,000 euros for Valencian audiovisuals

The Institut Valencià de Cultura (IVC) has announced grants totaling 759,000 euros destined for festivals, film clubs, contests, conferences, events, and unique audiovisual projects, as well as for the promotion of Valencian productions competing for the Goya and Oscar awards and for sector associations. The call is published in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) no. 10456, dated September 22, 2026, section III (administrative acts, grants, and scholarships), via the Resolution of September 17, 2026, of the Dirección General de Cultura (reference DOGV-C-2026-29661). The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication.

Regulatory framework and competent body

The grants are governed by the regulatory bases approved via the Resolution of October 24, 2025, of the Conselleria de Educación, Cultura, Universidades y Empleo (DOGV 10224, 10.28.2025), and are granted on a competitive basis in accordance with Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and Law 1/2015, of February 6, on public finance, the instrumental public sector, and subsidies.

The competence to call for and grant these awards corresponds to the Dirección General de Cultura by delegation of the Presidency of the IVC, established in the Resolution of June 16, 2026 (DOGV 10389, 06.22.2026). The Conselleria’s Strategic Grant Plan 2024-2027 places these grants under line S0969 “Promotion of audiovisual activities,” financed through section G0109, entity 016, of the 2026 budget approved by Law 4/2026, of July 22 (DOGV 10425, 08.18.2026).

Six modalities and credit distribution

The amount of 759,000 euros is distributed among the following modalities:

• Audiovisual festivals: up to 444,000 euros; maximum of 22,000 euros per applicant and no more than 50% of the budget executed in the previous edition.
• Film clubs: up to 45,000 euros, with a maximum of 6 grants and 10,000 euros per beneficiary.
• Contests, conferences, events, and unique projects: up to 100,000 euros; 10,000 euros maximum for contests and 20,000 euros for conferences, with a cap of 8 grants.
• Promotion of productions for the Goya and Oscar awards: up to 25,000 euros, with a maximum individual amount of 10,000 euros.
• Business and professional associations of the audiovisual sector: up to 145,000 euros, with a maximum of 25,000 euros per entity.

Projects are scored up to 100 points, and only those reaching at least 50 points can be beneficiaries. If the credit for a modality proves insufficient, the grant is calculated by multiplying the points by the requested amount and applying a coefficient resulting from dividing the available credit by the sum of those products.

Requirements, deadlines, and justification

Self-employed individuals, legal entities, city councils and other local entities, associations and non-profit entities, and Valencian production companies under the Goya and Oscar promotion modality may apply for the grants. Individuals, city councils, and audiovisual production companies are excluded from the associations line.

• The subsidized activities must take place between December 23, 2025, and November 30, 2026; in the case of promotion for the Goya and Oscar, the period begins on October 1, 2025.
• Applications are submitted electronically through the IVC electronic office, with a correction period of ten business days.
• The justification for the grants must be presented to the IVC by November 30, 2026; failure to provide justification within the deadline will result in the revocation of the grant.
• The processing is the responsibility of the IVC Grants Service and the evaluation is conducted by a technical valuation commission.
