El INE publica las mesas electorales de la provincia de León

The National Statistics Institute has made public the list of electoral sections, polling stations, and tables to be established in the province of León for the General Elections on November 29, 2026. The announcement is signed by the provincial delegate of the Electoral Census Office in León, José Ignacio Alonso Cimadevilla, and is published in the extraordinary Official Gazette of the Province of León no. 2, dated October 12, 2026, with the official reference BOP-LE-E-2026-002001. Voters have six days from the date of publication to file claims before the Provincial Electoral Board.

The publication is carried out in compliance with article 24.2 of Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, on the General Electoral Regime, as stated in the announcement itself. The boundaries of the sections are those established for the electoral census closed on August 1, 2026, and can be consulted both at the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office and at the respective town halls.

The text occupies 82 pages of the announcement within an extraordinary bulletin of 83 pages and constitutes the only announcement of the day, under the heading of State Administration. The document bears the bulletin CVE BOP-LE-E-2026-002 and the summary CVE BOP-LE-E-2026-002000.

What the attached list contains

The annex details, municipality by municipality, the district, the section, and the corresponding table or tables, along with the polling station and its address. In small municipalities, a single table is assigned, identified as Table U, for voters registered throughout the municipal area. Some examples:

  • Acebedo: Table U at the medical clinic, calle Iglesia 62.
  • Almanza: Table U at the Casa de Cultura, calle San Roque 70.
  • Zotes del Páramo: Table U at the Town Hall, plaza Mayor 1.
  • Cabrillanes: Table A on the ground floor of the Town Hall building, carretera León 17.

León and Ponferrada, with several districts

The two large cities account for the majority of the annex. León capital appears organized into districts 01 to 10, with sections that group specific streets and numbers and locations such as the San Marcelo Town Hall (plaza San Marcelo 1), the Auditorium (calle Reyes Leoneses 4), the Tax Agency (Gran Vía de San Marcos 18), or the León Oeste Civic Center (avenida Magdalena 1).

Ponferrada is divided into districts 01 to 05, with locations such as IES Gil y Carrasco (plaza Ayuntamiento 12), IES Álvaro de Mendaña (avenida Huertas del Sacramento 10), and CEIP Campo de la Cruz (paseo San Antonio 4). When a section gathers many voters, it is divided into tables A and B by the initial letter of the first surname, with cut-offs that vary by municipality (A-K and L-Z, A-G and H-Z, or A-J and K-Z, among others).

Deadlines and claims

  • Deadline: six days following the publication of the announcement.
  • Body before which the claim is filed: Provincial Electoral Board.
  • Legal basis: article 24.3 of Organic Law 5/1985.
  • Inquiry regarding section boundaries: Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office and city councils.

The list determines where each resident of León votes on November 29 and the distribution of polling stations; therefore, any error in the delimitation of a section or in the assignment of a venue directly affects the voter. The six-day period is the only way to correct these delimitations before the election date.
