INAGA resolves five environmental authorizations for farms in Aragon

The Aragonese Institute of Environmental Management (INAGA) has published in the Official Gazette of Aragon, number 167, dated August 28, 2026, five resolutions regarding pig and poultry livestock farms in the provinces of Teruel and Huesca. Four of them authorize or modify projects for the expansion and construction of farms, while a fifth resolves not to admit an application for processing in Albalate del Arzobispo (Teruel). The announcements, signed by the head of Technical Area III of Industrial Environment, Diana Remón Galindo, are published in section V of Announcements, subsection b) Other announcements, of the Department of Environment and Tourism.

The resolutions are processed under the Law 11/2014, of December 4, on Environmental Prevention and Protection of Aragon, which regulates the environmental impact statement and the Integrated Environmental Authorization (IEA) for livestock facilities. The files, managed by INAGA, affect municipalities in both provinces and combine capacity expansions with specific modifications to authorizations already granted.

Authorizations and expansions in Teruel

The Resolution of July 16, 2026, formulates the environmental impact statement and grants the Integrated Environmental Authorization for the expansion of a fattening pig farm up to 5,036 places (604.32 LSU) in polygon 7, plot 13, of Santa Eulalia del Campo (Teruel), promoted by Víctor Benito Morata (file INAGA 500305/02/2023/08845).

Similarly, the Resolution of August 3, 2026, specifically modifies the authorization of October 27, 2020, for a laying poultry farm with a capacity for 1,422,000 places (6,208 LSU), located in polygon 501 of Ferreruela de Huerva (Teruel) and promoted by the company SAT number 1733 Granja San Miguel (file INAGA 500305/02/2025/13272).

Modifications in Huesca

Two resolutions affect pig farms in the province of Huesca:

• The Resolution of July 20, 2026, specifically modifies the authorization of September 6, 2022, for a fattening pig farm of up to 4,068 places (488.16 LSU) in polygon 25, plots 173 and 175, of Huerto, promoted by Elena Cambra Palacín (file INAGA 500305/02/2025/11551).
• The Resolution of July 23, 2026, modifies the authorization of November 7, 2022, for a pig production farm with 3,070 breeding sows, 4 boars, and 680 replacement gilts (863.9 LSU) in polygon 509, plot 142, of Ballobar, promoted by Desarrollos Ganaderos Aragón, SLU (file INAGA 500305/02/2026/00669). The modification affects the distribution and dimensions of the buildings, as well as the hydrolysis and incineration systems.

Rejection in Albalate del Arzobispo

The Resolution of July 30, 2026, resolves not to admit for processing the application for environmental impact assessment and Integrated Environmental Authorization for the construction project of a fattening pig farm of up to 4,800 places (576 LSU), in polygon 38, plot 74, of Albalate del Arzobispo (Teruel), promoted by José Ángel Pérez Félez (file INAGA 500305/02/2026/04515).

Impact on the sector and residents
