El IMAE propone 1,2 millones para cuatro festivales culturales privados

The Municipal Institute of Performing Arts (IMAE) of Córdoba has formulated the provisional resolution proposal for grants destined for cultural festivals and fairs for the 2025 and 2026 annualities: 1,200,000 euros for four projects from private companies, the dismissal of one application, and 200,000 euros remaining unallocated. The proposal, signed by the instructing body on October 20, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 202, dated October 23, 2026, other entities section (announcement BOP-A-2026-3595), and opens a period of ten business days for allegations.

The call was approved by the Governing Council on July 29, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 155, dated August 12, 2026 (announcement 2796), with a total allocation of 1,400,000 euros divided into two budget applications: 1,200,000 euros in 0 3340 47900, for private companies, and 200,000 euros in 0 3340 48001, for non-profit entities. The general file is 6698_GE01_2026_00982.

The Evaluation Commission, appointed by Decree 2026/17501 of October 8, 2026, held its first session on October 14 at the Teatro Axerquía and unanimously approved the scores. Its minutes were signed by the secretary on October 19 and by the president on October 20, and the accompanying technical report was closed on that same day. The publication provision is signed by the president of the IMAE, Isabel Albas Vives, on October 21, 2026; the report and the proposal correspond to the general administration technician and instructing body, Antonio Campos Berzosa.

Four projects share 1.2 million

The distribution is made in proportion to the scores obtained, without intermediate rounding, charged to application 0 3340 47900 (“Other grants to private companies”):

  • MAINAKE MUSIC, A.I.E. · Los Califas Fest 2025: 87.75 points, 331,627.59 euros (file 6698_GE01_2026_01221).
  • RIFF MUSIC, A.I.E. · Festival Córdoba Live 2026: 81.98 points, 309,837.76 euros (file 6698_GE01_2026_01224).
  • MAINAKE MUSIC, A.I.E. · Los Califas Fest 2026: 78.14 points, 295,317.84 euros (file 6698_GE01_2026_01222).
  • GIRA ELÉCTRICA, A.I.E. · Festival Córdoba Live 2025: 69.65 points, 263,216.81 euros (file 6698_GE01_2026_01219).

The four projects exceed the minimums of 25 points in sociocultural interest and 50 points in total. No proposed amount exceeds the requested aid nor the limit of 400,000 euros per project and annuality, and all remain below 80% of the declared budgets, which range from 895,680.19 euros for RIFF MUSIC 2026 to 1,911,903.26 euros for MAINAKE MUSIC 2025.

One dismissal and one already resolved withdrawal

The proposal includes the dismissal of the application from CULTURA ES VIDA SL for the 2025 annual period (file 6698_GE01_2026_01226), regarding the project “Autumn 2025 Cultural and Musical Program · Córdoba.” The reason is the failure to comply with articles 3.4 and 3.5 of the guidelines: the declared programming comprises five main performances—T4/Miguel Bastida, Crazy World, Halloween Córdoba, Break M100, and T4/Marco Bailey—and does not prove the minimum of ten shows or main performances required.

The dismissal does not assign zero points nor perform a comparative assessment of merits, and the entity may file an appeal against the facts and reasons set forth. Excluded from this process is the 2026 application from the same company (file 6698_GE01_2026_01225), whose withdrawal and archiving were already declared by Decree 2026/17523, dated October 9, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 201, dated October 16, 2026 (announcement BOP-A-2026-3476).

Ten days to appeal, accept, or reformulate

The deadline is ten business days from the day following the publication. Within the same period, entities proposed as beneficiaries must submit their express acceptance or waiver and the documentation required by article 21 of the guidelines: third-party registration and bank certificate, certifications of being up to date with the AEAT (Tax Agency) and Social Security when their consultation has not been authorized, certificate of registration with Social Security, and the deed of incorporation and bylaws registered in the Mercantile Registry.

Since the proposed amounts are lower than those requested, reformulation is possible in accordance with article 19 of the guidelines. Procedures are submitted electronically at the Córdoba City Council headquarters, via a general request addressed to the organizational unit LA0016698 – IMAE Administration, with the subject “Cultural festivals and fairs – Provisional proposal.” Subsequent justification shall be made using annexes IV and V: three months from the grant for 2025 projects and between January 1 and March 31, 2027, for 2026 projects.

The 200,000 euros for non-profit entities remain unawarded

The Valuation Commission maintained the distribution of 1,200,000 euros without incorporating the 200,000 euros from application 0 3340 48001, intended for non-profit entities. The proposal rules out the automatic transfer of that balance to the distribution among private companies, despite the possibility of increasing funds between applications under article 17, and leaves it unawarded in this call, without this constituting a reserve for another purpose or a budgetary modification.

This publication replaces the notification pursuant to Article 45.1.b of Law 39/2015, of October 1, and the proposal does not constitute a definitive grant nor does it generate rights. Once the allegations have been examined, the instructing body will submit the definitive proposal to the Presidency of the IMAE, which is competent to resolve according to Article 20 of the rules.

The announcement clarifies the destination of a 1.4 million euro call in a sector—that of cultural festivals and fairs—which depends on these grants to finalize its programming. Four private projects secure, provided there are no changes, 86% of the total allocation, while one company is excluded due to formal requirements and 200,000 euros reserved for the cultural third sector are not distributed.
