ICE modifies ERDF innovation grants for SMEs

The Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castilla y León (ICE) has modified the call for grants intended to finance business projects aimed at fostering innovation in SMEs in Castilla y León, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The modification is published via an extract of the Resolution of October 1, 2026, from the Presidency of the ICE, in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (BOCYL) no. 194, of October 6, 2026, with the official reference BOCYL-D-06102026-194-20. The text is signed by the president of the organization, Carlos Fernández Carriedo, in Arroyo de la Encomienda on October 1, 2026.
The modified call is the one approved by the Resolution of June 19, 2023, from the Presidency of the ICE, which is processed under a non-competitive concurrence regime and is co-financed with European funds. The extract is published in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17.
The call is listed in the National Subsidies Database (BDNS) with the identifier 703907, which is also the reference that must be used to locate the file in the electronic office of the Administration of the Community of Castilla y León.
The modification is limited to the fourth point
The published change affects only the fourth point of the extract, dedicated to the amount. The rest of the content of the extract approved in 2023 remains in its original terms.
New figures: 1.15 million expandable to 1.65
The fourth point is rewritten with the following magnitudes:
- Total amount of the call: 1,150,000 euros.
- Maximum additional amount: 500,000 euros, in accordance with the provisions of article 16.3 of Law 5/2008, of September 25, on Subsidies of the Community of Castilla y León.
- Aid percentage: up to 70% of the eligible cost.
With the planned expansion, the total amount of the call could reach 1,650,000 euros.
Criteria determining the aid percentage
The subsidy percentage, which can reach 70% of the eligible cost, is set based on three factors:
- The size of the applicant company.
- The location of the project.
- The environmental and social aspects of the action.
