The Government awards the ARA scholarships of the 21st cycle to elite athletes

The Government has awarded the grants for the 21st cycle of the Andorra High Performance (ARA) program, covering the period from September 2026 to August 2027, with amounts of up to 32,000 euros for elite athletes. The Government agreement is dated September 9, 2026, and is made public through the edict of 9-9-2026, published in the Official Bulletin of the Principality of Andorra (BOPA) no. 105, dated September 16, 2026. The awarding entity is the State Secretariat for Youth and Sports.

The grants are framed within Law 37/2018, of December 20, on sport in the Principality of Andorra, and the Regulation on subsidies and other aids for sport, of March 29, 2023. The method of award is through public call and the amount is made effective against budget item 001730-80-830-831-PR0070-48210/081001, “Sports Federations and clubs”. The edict is dated September 9, 2026, and is signed by the Head of Government, Xavier Espot Zamora.

According to the published amounts, the awarded financial grants total 456,346 euros. The edict identifies 51 athletes with financial grants and 99 more in the service grant program, in addition to the groups considered high-performance athletes of Andorra.

Elite athletes, with amounts of up to 32,000 euros

Pre-elite, prospects, and team sports

The Pre-elite program awards 6,000 euros to Ariadna Fenes Areny and 3,000 euros to Arnau Soldevila Busquets. The Prospects program, the largest, distributes 150,500 euros among 29 athletes, with amounts ranging from 16,000 euros for Oriol Olm Rouppert to 2,000 euros for Aroa Carballo Risco, Marc Casanovas Reina, Obed Asensio Teixeira, and Serni Ribera Veganzones.

• Joan Caminal Castañe and Lucas Pagés Blanchart: 3,500 €

The Collective Esports program allocates 3,000 euros to Adrià Blat Vidal, Adrià Bonell Navarro, Bernat Picanyol Baró, Celia Palumbo Ribot, Gerard Miquel Solé and Noelia Pauls Guasch, and 2,000 euros to Pau Beal Perez. The Young Promises program grants 4,000 euros to Etna Pou Olivé, 3,000 to Nil Checa Baró and 2,000 to Max Black Roca, Noa Godoy Riba and Ona Perealegre Masip.

Sport-study, open baccalaureate and services scholarship

The edict also considers as high-performance athletes of Andorra all those integrated into the sport-study project for the 2026-2027 school year and all those who comply with article 53 of Law 37/2018 as professional athletes.

Appeal period

An administrative appeal may be filed against the resolution before the Government within one month from the date of notification of the act subject to appeal, in accordance with article 129 of Law 14/2023, of July 3, consolidated text of the Administration Code. The filing of the appeal does not suspend the execution of the contested act, according to articles 52 and 135 of the same Code.

The award provides financial coverage throughout the 2026-2027 sports season for virtually all performance sports in the country, from Olympic figures to promotion categories and collective teams, and sets the individual scholarship ceiling at 32,000 euros.
