The Government of the Canary Islands, through Decree 88/2026, of September 1, of the President, has granted the 2026 “Canary Islands” Tourism Awards, which recognize excellence, trajectory, and innovation in the archipelago’s tourism sector. The resolution, signed by President Fernando Clavijo Batlle, is published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands number 184, of September 14, 2026 (official reference: boc-a-2026-184-3244).
The awards are granted upon the proposal of the Jury of the 2026 “Canary Islands” Tourism Awards, exercising the powers conferred by Article 3 of Decree 54/2024, of April 15, which regulates these recognitions. The call distinguishes six categories ranging from business excellence to destination sustainability.

- Tourism Trajectory Award: Carlos Cebriá Cebriá, an innovative entrepreneur who bet on a five-star grand luxury product in Fuerteventura, with national and international recognition.
- Sustainable Employment Award: Landmar Hotels, for its personnel management model centered on people, work-life balance, equality, and the professionalization of its teams.

The value of excellence and sustainability
The Jury highlighted that Bodega Conatvs integrates wine production into a comprehensive tourism experience oriented toward knowledge, sustainability, and cultural roots, becoming a benchmark of quality in Fuerteventura. For its part, Carlos Cebriá Cebriá has contributed to the positioning of the island’s and the archipelago’s destination with one of the most emblematic establishments in the Canary Islands, in addition to his involvement in tourism governance bodies.
Landmar Hotels has been recognized for developing an internal culture where the comprehensive well-being of the employee, continuous training, responsible mobility, and transparency are part of its corporate identity, allowing it to attract and retain talent and contribute to the economic and social fabric of the Canary Islands.
A boost to the Canarian tourism model
The granting of these awards reinforces the archipelago’s commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and quality tourism, in which the primary sector, innovation, and social responsibility are integrated as added value. The recognitions distinguish both established companies and initiatives that diversify the offer and professionalize employment, in a context where the Canary Islands seek to consolidate themselves as a responsible destination at both the national and regional levels.
