The Government grants the 2026 Canary Islands Tourism Awards

The Government of the Canary Islands has made the annual tourism sector awards official with the publication in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands number 184, dated September 14, 2026, of Decree 88/2026, dated September 1, from the President, by which the 2026 “Islas Canarias” Tourism Awards are granted. The resolution, signed by President Fernando Clavijo Batlle, appears in section III (Other Resolutions), Presidency of the Government, on pages 34557 and 34558.
The winners
The decree, issued upon the proposal of the Awards Jury and in exercise of the powers of article 3 of Decree 54/2024, dated April 15, which regulates these awards, distinguishes six winners in as many categories:
- Tourism Excellence: Bodega Conatvs, a winery from Fuerteventura registered in the Canary Islands Protected Designation of Origin.
- Tourism Career: Carlos Cebriá Cebriá, an innovative entrepreneur in the sector.
- Sustainable Employment: Landmar Hotels.
- Innovation: Ecofinca Nogales, a benchmark for ecological tourism in La Palma.
- Accessibility and Inclusivity: Asociación de Reinserción de Menores Anchieta.
- Sustainable Tourism Destination: Island of La Palma.
Excellence and career
The Jury has valued Bodega Conatvs for producing high-quality wines adapted to volcanic soils and extreme climatic conditions, integrating that production into a tourism experience oriented toward knowledge, sustainability, and cultural roots, and for its reputational contribution to the Canary Islands destination.
For its part, Carlos Cebriá Cebriá has been recognized for his dedication to the sector as an innovative entrepreneur who bet on a five-star luxury product in Fuerteventura, achieving national and international recognition and contributing to the positioning of the destination with one of the archipelago’s most emblematic establishments. His involvement in the development of the sector and his participation in tourism governance bodies were also considered.
Sustainability, innovation, and inclusion
Landmar Hotels stands out for a management model centered on people, with policies that reinforce employment stability, work-life balance, equality, and the professionalization of its teams. Ecofinca Nogales is recognized for its work in sustainable economy and ecological tourism in La Palma, employing permaculture and agroecology techniques that optimize natural resources and promote biodiversity.
The Anchieta Minors’ Reintegration Association has been awarded for its programs to incorporate people in situations of social exclusion into the labor market, primarily youth and migrants, through alliances with the hospitality sector. Finally, the Island of La Palma consolidates its position as a sustainable tourist destination due to its territorial balance, comprehensive protection of the territory, and environmental conservation.
Relevance for the destination
These annual awards reinforce the reputation of the Canary Islands as a quality, sustainable, and innovative tourist destination, and highlight both established companies and professionals as well as initiatives that commit to social inclusion and respect for the environment.
