The Government awards the Grand Cross of Naval Merit to Lucas Murillo de la Cueva

The Government has awarded the Grand Cross of Naval Merit with white distinction to Pablo María Lucas Murillo de la Cueva, a high-ranking honorary recognition from the State. The distinction is formalized through Royal Decree 719/2026, of September 2, published in the Official State Gazette number 223, of September 9, 2026, in section III of Other Provisions, page 120589.

The award is granted upon the proposal of the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles Fernández, and following the deliberation of the Council of Ministers at its meeting on September 1, 2026. The decree is signed by King Felipe VI and countersigned by the Minister of Defense.
