The Army awards meat contract worth 108 million to Importaciones del Plata

The Argentine Army awarded Importaciones del Plata S.A. the supply of meat products for the Command of the 1st Armored Brigade and its dependent units during the fourth quarter of 2026, for a total of $108,145,830. The decision was formalized in Resolution No. RS-2026-92637433-APN-CBBI#EA and published in the Third Section of the Official Gazette of the Argentine Republic on September 24, 2026, under Public Tender 553/2026. It is the largest of a series of military food purchases awarded on the same day.

The procedure was processed by UOC 84/15 – Command of Armored Brigade I, within the framework of the 2026 Fiscal Year, under the National Single Class and the Open Purchase Order modality, with File No. EX-2026-70386788- -APN-CBBI#EA and the commercial category PROVISIONS. A food purchase for the fourth quarter

The object of the process is the “acquisition of meat products for the CDO IRA BR BL and dependent units for the 4th QTR 2026,” according to the official text of the notice. The resolution provides for the award of the process items for the total amount of ONE HUNDRED EIGHT MILLION ONE HUNDRED FORTY-FIVE THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY PESOS AND 00/100 ($108,145,830.00).

The Open Purchase Order modality allows the agency to issue purchase orders against the framework agreement during the planned period, without repeating the selection procedure for each delivery.

• Public Tender 557/2026: fruits and vegetables, awarded to P.I.D.A Provisión Integral de Alimentos S.A. for $34,988,450 (Resolution No. RS-2026-92637365-APN-CBBI#EA).

• Public Tender 543/2026, from the XII Mountain Brigade Command: pork, cured meats, and processed products for the CDO BR MTE XII and dependent units, awarded to TUX S.A. for $15,430,450.
• Public Tender 497/2026, from the same command: bakery products, awarded to TUX S.A. for $7,118,589 and to Federico Ezequiel Villafañe (CUIT 20336311455) for $21,025,519.20.

The simultaneous publication of these awards exposes the volume and concentration of food supply for military units at the close of the year, with more than 200 million pesos committed in a single day.
