The Department of Education modifies the lists of selected teachers

The Department of Education and Vocational Training has published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) Resolution EDF/3014/2026, of August 18, which modifies the single lists of persons selected in the competitive examination for entry and access to the teaching public service. The resolution, signed by the counselor Esther Niubó Cidoncha, excludes one applicant for failing to maintain the participation requirements and makes public the resignation of another selected person. The document is published in DOGC no. 9736, of August 24, 2026, with the official reference CVE-DOGC-A-26231007-2026.

Framework of the call

The competitive examination for entry and access to the teaching public service was called via Resolution EDF/3865/2025, of October 22. Subsequently, Resolution EDF/2037/2026, of June 19, published the single lists of persons selected in the selection process.

Base 2.1 of Annex 1 of the call resolution establishes the requirements and conditions that applicants must meet to be admitted. Base 2.3 specifies that these requirements must be met on the last day of the application submission period and maintained until the assumption of office as career civil service personnel, and that failure to comply with any of these results in the exclusion of the applicant from the process and nullifies the rights associated with their participation.

Exclusion and resignation

The resolution, at the proposal of the Directorate General for Teaching Staff and Public Center Personnel, adopts two measures regarding the lists published in June:

• Exclude Mr. Héctor Crespo Revuelta from the list of selected persons in the specialty of Mathematics (590 MA) of the secondary education teachers’ corps, for failing to maintain compliance with the required participation requirements. His appointment as a civil servant in training and all rights derived from his participation are nullified.
• Make public the resignation of Ms. Glòria Jurado Gómez from the rights derived from her participation in the selection procedure for the specialty of English (590 AN) of the secondary education teachers’ corps, and exclude her from the list of selected persons. Her appointment as a civil servant in training is also nullified.

Effects and appeals

The publication of the resolution in the DOGC serves as notification to the interested parties for all purposes. The Directorate General for Teaching Staff and Public Center Personnel must adopt the necessary measures for the execution of the resolution.

Against this resolution, which exhausts the administrative route, interested parties may file a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Catalonia within two months starting from the day after its publication in the DOGC. They may also optionally file a request for reversal (recurso de reposición), prior to the contentious appeal, before the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, within one month, through the electronic procedure for submitting appeals against the resolutions of the calls for entry and access to the teaching public service.

Impact for applicants

The modification of the single lists of selected candidates is relevant for all applicants of the teaching competitive examination, as the exclusion of one person and the resignation of another may alter the order of the lists and open the door to new incorporations among the candidates who remained in subsequent positions. Interested parties must consult the DOGC to know the updated status of the lists and the deadlines for exercising their rights.
