The Guilleries-Savassona Consortium approves its dissolution and the transfer of assets to the Provincial Council

The General Assembly of the Consorci de l’Espai Natural de les Guilleries-Savassona initially approved, in the session of September 23, 2026, the dissolution and extinction of the entity through the global transfer of assets and liabilities to the Diputació de Barcelona. The agreement is published in the Diari Oficial de la Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) no. 9766, of October 5, 2026, with the official reference CVE-DOGC-A-26271021-2026. The file is subject to public information for thirty business days.

The Diputació de Barcelona is the public administration to which the Consortium is attached, so the dissolution is resolved with the full transfer of assets and obligations to this corporation. The announcement bears the signature of the president of the entity, Miquel Serra Malats, and is dated in Vilanova de Sau on September 25, 2026.

Global transfer of assets, liabilities, and personnel

The agreement of the General Assembly includes two simultaneous pronouncements: the dissolution and extinction of the Consortium and the transfer of its assets and liabilities to the Diputació de Barcelona. The specific terms of the operation are detailed in the report prepared by the Consortium Management.

With this transfer, the Diputació de Barcelona is subrogated to the rights and obligations of the Consortium and assumes its personnel and assets. This measure therefore affects the management of the Guilleries-Savassona protected natural area, which will now depend on the supra-municipal corporation.

Thirty business days to present allegations

The agreements and the corresponding file are subject to public information for a period of thirty business days. The count begins the day after the publication of the announcement in the Butlletí Oficial de la Província de Barcelona, not in the DOGC.

During this period, interested parties may file any claims or allegations they deem appropriate. The purpose of the public information is both the dissolution and extinction of the Consortium and the transfer of its assets and liabilities to the Diputació de Barcelona.

Consultation of the file and nature of the approval

The file can be consulted on the electronic notice board of the Consorci de l’Espai Natural de les Guilleries-Savassona and the Diputació de Barcelona throughout the entire public information period.

The agreed approval is initial in nature. If no claim or allegation is presented within the deadline, the initial approval of the dissolution and extinction of the Consortium and the transfer of its assets and liabilities to the Diputació de Barcelona will become final without the need for any further procedure.

The decision closes the cycle of the Consortium as the managing body of the natural area and transfers the responsibility for the territory, personnel, and assets to the Diputació de Barcelona. For the municipalities and residents of the Guilleries-Savassona area, the change implies a new institutional interlocutor in the conservation and management of the protected area, with a period open for any affected party to submit allegations.
