The Council ratifies the new officials of the Valencian Sports Tribunal

The Sports Tribunal of the Comunitat Valenciana now has ratified officers. The Resolution of September 22, 2026, from the Second Vice-Presidency and Conselleria of the Presidency, confirms the appointment of the Presidency, the Vice-Presidency, the members, and the Secretariat of the body that resolves regional sports discipline. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (Diari Oficial de la Generalitat Valenciana) number 10458, dated September 24, 2026, in section II regarding authorities and personnel, with the official reference DOGV-C-2026-30104.

The regulatory framework of the appointment

The resolution is adopted under article 170 of Law 2/2011, of March 22, on sports and physical activity of the Comunitat Valenciana, and articles 3 and 5 of Decree 36/2021, of February 26, of the Consell, regulating the Sports Tribunal of the Comunitat Valenciana.

The process was structured in two steps. First, through the Resolution of September 10, 2026, the members of the Tribunal were appointed. Subsequently, on September 14, 2026, in compliance with article 3.4 of Decree 36/2021, the appointed individuals met to elect the Presidency and the Vice-Presidency as the first action of their mandate.

The composition of the body

The meeting on September 14 established the following composition, which the resolution now ratifies:

• Presidency: Alejandro Valiño Arcos
• Vice-Presidency: Reyes Marzal Raga
• Members: Bernardo Bonet Cerdá, Enrique Carbonell Navarro, and Ana María De la Encarnación Valcárcel
• Secretariat: Jaime Torres Valls

The text resolves two points: to ratify the appointment of the officers of the Sports Tribunal of the Comunitat Valenciana and to order the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana. The signature corresponds to José Díez Climent, second vice-president and conseller of the Presidency, in València, on September 22, 2026.

Deadlines and means of appeal

The resolution exhausts the administrative route, therefore interested parties have two alternatives, which cannot be pursued simultaneously:

• Optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) before the second vice-president and conseller of the Presidency, within a period of one month from the day following the publication in the DOGV.
• Contentious-administrative appeal before the contentious-administrative court, within a period of two months from the day following the publication.

Both routes comply with Law 39/2015, of October 1, and Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the contentious-administrative jurisdiction.

The Sports Court is the body that resolves sports disciplinary proceedings in the Valencian Community, such that the ratified composition directly affects clubs, federations, and athletes with pending matters before it. With the appointments now published, the body is formally constituted to issue resolutions during its mandate.
