The Council of Mallorca appoints Antonio López Carro as secretary of the political group

The Presidency of the Consell de Mallorca has appointed Antonio López Carro as second secretary of a political group as temporary staff, with an annual remuneration of 39,240.07 euros and effect from September 1, 2026. The appointment is published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) no. 121, of September 26, 2026, in Section II, page 51830, edict 9553.

The figure of temporary staff is reserved by article 104 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the bases of the local regime, for functions of trust or special advisory that cannot be attributed to other public employees. The edict was signed by the executive councillor for Finance, Innovation and Public Function, Rafel Angel Bosch Sans, with an electronic signature date of September 21, 2026, in Palma, and is framed within the Decree of 27-08-2019 (BOIB no. 123, of September 7).

The position and assigned remuneration

The edict indicates that the appointment is made to occupy the indicated job position, configured as temporary staff, and that the remunerations detailed therein are assigned. The specific terms are as follows:

Delegation of powers and cost control

The personnel powers of the Consell de Mallorca are delegated to the executive councillor for Finance and Public Function by the Agreement of the Executive Council of September 28, 2022 (BOIB no. 128, of October 1, 2022). The delegation expressly excludes the approval of the number and regime of temporary staff, which continues to correspond to the Executive Council.

Temporary staff positions are configured as political trust appointments and their remuneration is set in the same act of appointment, as detailed in edict 9553.

The appointment is added to the rest of the temporary staff movements published this September and represents an annual cost of 39,240.07 euros for the coffers of the Consell de Mallorca, in a context of renewing political group secretariats at the start of the term.
