The Council of Mallorca appoints 12 career civil servant technicians

The Island Council of Mallorca has appointed 12 people as career civil servants of the general administration scale, technical subscale, subgroup A1, and has assigned them the corresponding workstations. The decision, adopted by resolution of the executive councillor of Finance, Innovation and Public Function, is published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) no. 107, of August 27, 2026, in Section II, pages 46237 to 46239.

The appointments derive from the selection procedure for the competitive examination system convened by resolution of the councillor of Finance and Public Function on April 4, 2024. The positions come from the public employment offers corresponding to the 2021 and 2022 financial years of the Council of Mallorca and the 2023 financial year of the Mallorcan Institute of Social Affairs (IMAS).

The appointees and their workstations

The resolution, electronically signed on August 18, 2026, by councillor Rafael Angel Bosch Sans, assigns the positions in order of priority and according to the preferences expressed by the candidates. The 12 appointees and their destinations are:

• Constança Bauza Rosselló — general administration technician, Department of Tourism
• Maria del Carmen Alejandro Marín — legal technician, Department of Tourism
• Maria de las Mercedes Morell Planas — legal technician, Department of Tourism
• Andrea Espejo Gil — legal technician, Department of Territory, Mobility and Infrastructure
• Sara Moranta Picó — legal technician, Department of Tourism
• Bartomeu Miralles Llull — legal technician, Department of Finance, Innovation and Public Function
• Miquel Àngel Bauzà Ramis — legal technician, Department of Finance, Innovation and Public Function
• Marc Andreu Herrera Oliver — legal technician, Department of Territory, Mobility and Infrastructure
• Maria del Pilar Monter Moragues — legal technician, Department of Finance, Innovation and Public Function
• Maria Àngels Ramis Serra — legal technician, Department of the Presidency
• Francisco José Povedano Moll — general administration technician, Department of the Presidency

The selection process and taking office

The procedure closed on May 27, 2026, when the executive councillor of Territory, Mobility and Infrastructure, acting as substitute, approved the final list of people who had passed the selection process. On June 25, 2026, the coordinator of the Mallorcan School of Public Administration (EMAP) processed the documentation submitted by the candidates and the selection of workstations carried out.

In accordance with base 13 of the call for applications, it is the responsibility of the minister competent in matters of public service to appoint the career civil servants and allocate the positions in order of precedence. Appointed persons will have a period of 3 business days, counting from the day after publication, for the oath or promise and the taking of possession.

Assignment and appeals

The assignment to the workplace of the listed personnel will be carried out through individualized resolutions from the executive minister of Finance, Innovation and Public Service, once the proposed resolution has been audited in accordance with the General Comptroller. Against this act, which does not exhaust administrative remedies, an appeal for reversal may be filed within one month before the Executive Council or the Government Commission of the Insular Council of Mallorca.

This resolution consolidates the staff of senior technicians of the insular institution and concludes selective processes accumulated since 2021, reinforcing the personnel structure of the Council of Mallorca and the IMAS in key areas such as legal, tourism, and the presidency.
