The Astitz Council auctions eleven popcorn stands for the 2026-2027 season

The Astitz Council, in the Larraun valley, has announced the public auction, via the “viva voce” (oral) procedure, for the lease of 11 pigeon blinds for the traditional hunting of migratory pigeons during the 2026-2027 season. The first bid will be held at twelve o’clock on September 19 in the Astitz council room, according to the announcement published in the Official Gazette of Navarra number 166, dated August 24, 2026.

The announcement, signed on August 4 by the council president, Jose María Azpirotz Satrustegi, affects the blinds marked with numbers 1 to 11, inclusive, located in the game reserve with registration NA-10124, within the jurisdiction of the council itself. The call is part of the municipal hunting management of the Larraun region, where the hunting of pigeons in flight is a traditional activity deeply rooted among local hunters.

Three auction rounds with progressive discounts

The specifications provide for a system of successive auctions to ensure the allocation of all blinds. Those not awarded in the first session will be offered again in a second call, and those remaining vacant after this will move to a third round.

• First auction: September 19, at 12:00 p.m., in the Astitz council room.
• Second auction: September 26, same place and time, with a 10% discount on the unallocated blinds.
• Third auction: following the second, with a 20% discount on the blinds still available.
