The Electoral Census corrects polling stations in five municipalities of Albacete
Por FactBox Admin

The Electoral Census Office of Albacete has corrected the location of the polling stations for five municipalities in the province for the general elections on November 29, 2026. The correction is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete number 125, dated October 26, 2026, in the first section (State Administration), under official reference 28.879. The announcement comes five weeks before voting day and directly affects the voters of the involved census sections.
The text is signed by the provincial delegate of the Electoral Census Office, Salvador Llopis Pérez, and is issued through the Albacete Provincial Delegation of the National Statistics Institute. According to the announcement itself, the correction is adopted “in response to requests from several city councils,” meaning at the request of the affected local governments, which are the ones that propose and provide the municipally-owned spaces where the polling stations are installed.
The announcement is not limited to a change of building: the published table specifies for each case the municipality, district, section, table, the range of census letters assigned to each table, the name of the venue, the address, and the postal code. This precision is important because a single section may be split across two tables, and the voter can only exercise their right at the table corresponding to the initial of their surname.
The corrected venues, municipality by municipality
- Corral Rubio: district 01, section 001, single table (letters A-Z), at the Social Center, calle San Isidro s/n, 02693.
- Mahora: district 01, section 001, with two tables at the Mahora Public School, Ntra. Señora de Gracia, calle Ramón y Cajal 43, 02240.
- Masegoso: district 01, section 001, single table (A-Z), at the Plenary Hall of the Masegoso Town Hall, calle Camino Real 1, 02314.
- Navas de Jorquera: district 01, section 001, single table (A-Z), at the Public School (CRA), calle Tercia 8, 02246.
- Villarrobledo: district 03, section 002, with two tables at the Barranco Public School, calle Alfarerías Altas 18, 02600.
Mahora and Villarrobledo split their section into two tables
The two municipalities with the highest volume of voters among those affected are Mahora and Villarrobledo, and in both, the section is divided into two tables within the same polling station. In Mahora, table A covers letters A-L and table B covers letters M-Z, both at the Mahora Public School, Ntra. Señora de Gracia.
In Villarrobledo, the split applies to section 002 of district 03: table A serves surnames from A to K and table B serves those from L to Z, with both tables located at the Barranco Public School, at calle Alfarerías Altas 18. In Corral Rubio, Masegoso, and Navas de Jorquera, a single table per section is maintained, covering the full range of letters.
A notice with practical effects for the voter
The correction is published in the same bulletin in which the Electoral Census Office habitually disseminates these types of adjustments, and it has effects on the information received by voters: the venue and the polling station appearing on the census cards and in census inquiries are those that determine where one can vote. The city councils that requested the change are responsible for providing the spaces, while the Electoral Census Office is the entity that validates and publishes the final location.
The province of Albacete thus renews part of its electoral map five weeks before November 29, with seven polling stations distributed across five municipalities, two of which—those in Mahora and Villarrobledo—are separated by alphabetical sections of the census.
For the residents of Corral Rubio, Mahora, Masegoso, Navas de Jorquera, and Villarrobledo, the consequence is immediate: they must check the official announcement, and the documentation sent by the census, to determine their polling station and table before November 29. An error in this data forces a move to another venue or prevents voting at the assigned table; therefore, prior consultation of the announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Albacete is the most reliable way to confirm the location.
