The Electoral Census corrects polling stations in four municipalities for the general elections
Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office of Teruel has rectified the list of sections, polling stations, and electoral colleges published on October 12 for the General Elections of November 29, 2026. The correction, identified by number 2026-2999, appears in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 198, dated October 15, 2026, and affects four municipalities: Alcalá de la Selva, Monterde de Albarracín, Torralba de los Sisones, and Torre de las Arcas.
The original announcement was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel number 195, dated October 12, 2026, under number 2026-2943, and bore the signature of the provincial delegate, Adela Agudo Vega, dated October 7. It was issued in compliance with Article 24.2 of Organic Law 5/1985, on the General Electoral Regime, which requires the public disclosure of the list of municipalities in the province with the determination of the number and boundaries of the electoral sections, their venues, and the polling stations that comprise them.
The new publication maintains the same data closure, 000051701, and the same process designation, “General Elections November 29, 2026,” with the province of Teruel identified by code 44. The provincial delegate signed the rectification on October 14, 2026, one day after the date of the corrected data (10/13/2026), and the text is based on the same Article 24 of the electoral law.
The four rectified electoral colleges
The correction replaces the electoral venue assigned to the single polling station in each of the four affected municipalities. The data now appearing in the gazette are:
- Alcalá de la Selva (municipality 012, section 01, polling station 001, code 440120002): the college becomes the Town Hall, at Plaza de la Iglesia (La), 4, 44432.
- Monterde de Albarracín (municipality 157, section 01, polling station 001, code 441570001): the college becomes the Town Hall, at Calle Horno, 13, 44368.
- Torralba de los Sisones (municipality 220, section 01, polling station 001, code 442200001): the college becomes the Medical Clinic, at Calle Julio López, 2, 44359.
- Torre de las Arcas (municipality 224, section 01, polling station 001, code 442200001): the college becomes the San Miguel Cultural Association Social Center, at Calle Almudín, 1, 44709.
In all four cases, these are single polling stations with voters of all ranges (A-Z), meaning the change of venue affects the entire census of each municipality.
What changes compared to October 12
The announcement of October 12 assigned venues to these municipalities different from those now published:
- Alcalá de la Selva: Hogar del Jubilado, calle Hispanoamérica, 20.
- Monterde de Albarracín: Centro Cultural, calle Mayor, 8.
- Torralba de los Sisones: Horno, calle Horno, 9.
- Torre de las Arcas: Consultorio Médico, calle Carnicería, 1.
The rectification does not alter the number of sections or tables, nor the section boundaries: only the polling station and its address. It also does not modify the closing code of the table list.
Deadlines and claims
The original announcement reminded that, within the six days following its publication, voters could file claims against the delimitation carried out before the Provincial Electoral Board, which issues a final resolution within five days. The boundaries of the sections, streets, and numbers included in each can be consulted at the town halls or at the Electoral Census Office, located at calle Agustina de Aragón, 14, 44002 Teruel.
The publication of the correction is made, as with the previous one, for general knowledge, in compliance with Article 24 of the Organic Law of the General Electoral Regime.
With the electoral calendar already underway toward November 29, the residents of Alcalá de la Selva, Monterde de Albarracín, Torralba de los Sisones, and Torre de las Arcas must check the station that corresponds to them in the corrected version of the bulletin, as all four are changing polling stations compared to the list published three days prior. Consulting the official text, municipal offices, or the Electoral Census Office itself is the way to avoid going to a location that is no longer assigned.
