The Electoral Census changes 24 polling stations and venues for voting on November 29
Por FactBox Admin

The Electoral Census Office of Cáceres has modified the list of districts, sections, polling stations, and electoral venues to be used in the elections for the Congress of Deputies and the Senate on Sunday, November 29, 2026. The change, signed by the provincial delegate of the National Statistics Institute (INE) and the office itself, Ramón García Gómez, affects 24 polling stations across 14 municipalities in the province. It is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres No. 0211, dated November 4, 2026, with reference BOP-2026-5151.
The announcement is dated Cáceres, October 30, 2026, and responds to communications sent by various city councils in the province, which justified the need to change electoral venues for these elections. The office, which depends on the Provincial Delegation of the INE, thus provides new venues for the affected sections, with express indication of the municipality, polling station number, letter range, name of the venue, and full postal address.
The modification is made public less than four weeks before the election day on 11/29, meaning that voters in these sections must check the list for their assigned venue. The official table distinguishes each polling station by its number and by the letter range of the census, such that a single municipality may distribute its voters among several venues.
Coria and Malpartida de Plasencia concentrate the changes
Coria is the municipality with the most affected polling stations, with six distributed among four venues: the Colegio Virgen de Argeme (avenida Virgen de Argeme s/n) hosts polling stations 1-001 A and 1-001 B; the Colegio Sagrado Corazón (calle Navalmoral de la Mata 2) houses polling stations 2-001, 2-003 A, and 2-003 B; and the Ayuntamiento Nuevo (plaza San Pedro 1) hosts polling station 2-002.
Malpartida de Plasencia adds five polling stations, all of them at the CEIP Fray Alonso Fernández, at calle Escuelas 36: polling stations 1-001 A, 1-001 B, 2-001 A, 2-001 B, and 2-002. Miajadas transfers two polling stations to calle Ciruelos s/n, at the Centro Social Los Naranjos.
List of approved venues
In addition to those mentioned, the announcement establishes the following venues by municipality:
- Abertura: Multi-Purpose Building, plaza España s/n, 10262.
- Barrado: Medical Clinic, plaza España 2, 10696.
- Casar de Cáceres: Creofonte, plaza de los Toros 13, 10190 (table 2-001).
- Descargamaría: ground floor of the Town Hall, plaza Mayor 1, 10866.
- Guijo de Santa Bárbara: Escuelillas, carretera Nueva 1, 10459.
- Hinojal: Town Hall, calle Obispo Rocha 8, 10192.
- Palomero: San Pedro de Alcántara Public School, plaza Nueva s/n, 10660.
- Perales del Puerto: Municipal Library (Integrated Social Center), avenida Sierra de Gata 58, 10896.
- Talaveruela de la Vera: Multi-Purpose Hall, calle Iglesia 39, 10491.
- Villasbuenas de Gata: Hostel, calle Marcial Marín 2, 10858.
- Zorita: C.E.I.P. Nuestra Señora de Fuente Santa, calle Ánimas 1, 10130.
Split tables and census consultation
Most of the modified tables are single and cover the entire census of the section (identifier «U» with letters A-Z), but several localities appear split by ranges: A-K and L-Z. This is the case for Coria (tables 1-001 and 2-003), Malpartida de Plasencia (tables 1-001 and 2-001), Miajadas (table 2-001), and Palomero (table 1-001).
The document reminds that the list is modifying and refers only to the related sections and tables, not to the provincial census as a whole. For any verification, the announcement includes the secure verification code GEN-d50f-33d5-faae-fe8f-30f5-b0c2-b784-dc20, which can be consulted through the electronic office of the General State Administration.
Impact for the province’s residents
The change directly affects the organization of the election day in fourteen municipalities, several of them small and with a single polling station, where the relocation of the venue implies reassigning tables, ballots, and electoral material in just over three weeks. Voters from the sections included in the list must locate their table by number and letter range before November 29 to avoid traveling to the wrong polling station.
