The Cadastre opens a hearing for new values in Cáceres and Torremocha

The Territorial Management of the Cadastre in Cáceres, under the Ministry of Finance and Civil Service, has announced the opening of the hearing process prior to the notification of the cadastral values derived from the partial reports of the municipalities of Cáceres and Torremocha. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres number 0167, dated September 1, 2026, in Section III of State Administration.

During this process, cadastral owners may submit allegations and present any evidence they deem relevant before the new values are notified, which will affect the taxable base of the Property Tax (IBI) and other taxes linked to the cadastral value.

Regulatory Framework and Procedure

The process is carried out in accordance with Article 26.2 of Royal Decree 417/2006, of April 7, which develops the consolidated text of the Real Estate Cadastre Law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2004, of March 5). This is a partial collective valuation procedure affecting the two aforementioned municipalities.

The announcement was signed in Cáceres on August 27, 2026, by Javier Fernando Díaz Martín, Territorial Manager of the Cadastre, and bears the official reference CVE BOP-2026-4131, on page 20347 of the gazette.

Deadline and Form of Participation

Cadastral owners will have a period of ten business days, starting from the day following the publication of the announcement, to exercise their right to a hearing.

• The process takes place at the Management office, located at Plaza Hernán Cortés, 3, Cáceres.
• For this purpose, an appointment can be requested through the Cadastre Direct Line, at telephone numbers 91 387 45 50 and 902 37 36 35.
• Within this period, allegations may be formulated and evidence that is considered relevant may be provided.

Impact for Taxpayers

The partial collective valuation may result in a modification of the cadastral values of the affected properties in Cáceres and Torremocha, with the consequent impact on the IBI quota and other taxes that use the cadastral value as a reference. Therefore, participation in the hearing process is key for those who consider that the new values do not align with the reality of their properties.
