The Cabildo of Tenerife appoints ten Information Systems technicians

The Island Council of Tenerife has appointed ten Higher Grade Technicians in Information Systems as career civil servants, consolidating positions from the Public Employment Offer via the open competition track. The decision was adopted by Resolution of the Island Directorate of Human Resources, Public Service, and Digital Transformation, number R0000133885, dated August 28, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife number 109, dated September 11, 2026.
The announcement, electronically signed on August 31, 2026, by the island director Juan Manuel Santana Pérez, is disseminated in compliance with article 62.1 b) of the Revised Text of the Law of the Basic Statute of the Public Employee, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30.
An open competition selection process
The positions are categorized under Group A, Subgroup A1, of the Special Administration Scale, Special Services Subscale, and are filled once the selection procedure convened for this purpose has been resolved. The public call, which provided for eleven positions of Higher Grade Technician in Information Systems within the Civil Servant Staff, was approved by Resolution of the same Island Directorate dated November 3, 2025.
The new civil servants must take office within a maximum period of one month, counting from the day following the publication of their appointment in the official gazette.

Consolidation of the island staff
With this appointment, the Council of Tenerife takes another step in the consolidation of its civil servant staff in the field of information systems, a strategic area for the digital transformation of the island corporation. The filling of these Subgroup A1 positions via open competition reinforces the stability of public employment and the technical capacity of the island administration regarding information technologies.
The publication of this announcement in the official gazette provides full publicity to the appointment and opens the period for the ten technicians to take office, who will join their posts within a maximum period of one month.
