The Cabildo of Fuerteventura presents four credit modifications

The Insular Council of Fuerteventura has submitted for public exhibition four files for credit modifications of the current insular budget, through announcements published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Las Palmas number 110, dated September 14, 2026. Files 45/2026, 46/2026, 48/2026, and 51/2026 remain open for claims for fifteen business days, as provided for in Article 169 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.

The four announcements, signed on September 10, 2026, in Puerto del Rosario, affect the Council’s budget approved in an extraordinary session of the Corporation’s Plenary held on September 10, 2026. The processing corresponds to the Budget Management Service of the insular institution.

Financing of the files

The files are structured as Extraordinary Credits and Credit Supplements, with two distinct financing methods:

• Files 45/2026, 48/2026, and 51/2026 are financed with part of the Liquid Treasury Surplus resulting from the Budget Settlement of the 2025 financial year.
• File 46/2026 is financed through cancellations or credit reductions from other uncommitted budgetary applications of the current budget.

Claim procedure

Legitimate interested parties may submit claims, for the reasons exhaustively listed in section 2 of Article 170 of the aforementioned revised text, according to the following procedures:

• Exhibition and claims period: fifteen business days starting from the day following the insertion of the announcement in the B.O.P.
• Submission office: General Registry.
• Body before which the claim is made: Plenary of the Council.

If no claim is filed against the files, they will be understood as definitively approved, and a summary of the modification made at the chapter level must be exhibited.

The announcements correspond to registration numbers 1,874,753 (file 45/2026), 1,875,109 (file 46/2026), 1,875,334 (file 48/2026), and 1,875,647 (file 51/2026), published on pages 15850 to 15852 of the gazette. The announcements bear numbers 2,982, 2,983, 2,984, and 2,985, and are signed by the insular counselor for Finance, Economic Promotion, Human Resources, Sports, and Sustainable Mobility, Nuria Cabrera Méndez.

The simultaneous publication of four budget modification files reflects the mid-year adjustment activity of the island budget, both through the application of the 2025 treasury surplus and through the reorganization of existing credits. Citizen participation in the allegations process is key to guaranteeing the transparency of the process, as, in the absence of claims, the modifications will be definitively approved and will affect the execution of the budget of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura for the 2026 fiscal year.
