The Youth Rent Bonus accepts supporting documents from January 2025

The First Vice-Presidency and Department of Housing, Employment, Youth and Equality has published in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana (DOGV) no. 10440, of August 31, 2026, a correction of errors for the resolution regulating the Youth Rent Voucher for the 2026 fiscal year. The change moves the date from which rent payment receipts are accepted back to January 1, 2025, compared to May 1, 2025, which was initially listed.

The correction, signed on August 27, 2026, by the first vice-president and regional minister Susana Camarero Benítez, is processed under article 109.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on common administrative procedure, and directly affects young applicants for the housing aid.

What is being corrected

The original resolution, approved on August 18, 2026, and published in DOGV no. 10434, of August 21, 2026, contained two material errors that are now rectified in two sections:

• In the first resolution, fourteenth base of the regulatory bases, “Deadlines for justification and payment of the aid,” the reference to May 1, 2025, is replaced by January 1, 2025.
• In the second resolution, fifth section of the call, “Documentation to accompany the application,” the same correction is applied regarding the accreditable monthly rent payments.

In both cases, the new wording accepts payment receipts paid “from January 1, 2025, or the start date of the contract if later, until the time of the aid application.”

The framework of the aid

The Youth Rent Voucher is configured as an aid of 250 euros per month for people up to 35 years old, with the aim of facilitating their emancipation. It is granted for a period of two years, totaling 6,000 euros spread over 24 monthly payments, and requires that the household income does not exceed 3 times the Public Multiple Effects Income Indicator (IPREM).

The 2026 call, under a competitive concurrence regime, is endowed with 29,800,000 euros, of which 22,800,000 come from funds transferred by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Agenda and 7,000,000 from the Generalitat’s own financing. The line is framed within Royal Decree 42/2022, of January 18, which regulates the Youth Rent Voucher and the State Plan for Access to Housing 2022-2025.

Impact for applicants

The extension of the justification period benefits those who signed their lease or use assignment contract prior to the application, as it allows them to prove a greater number of monthly payments made. The correction does not alter the other requirements of the call, which continues to be applied throughout the territory of the Comunitat Valenciana.
