El Bonillo opens study grants with 14,000 euros and a ten-day deadline
Por FactBox Admin

The El Bonillo City Council has announced financial aid for students pursuing university degrees or intermediate or higher-level vocational training cycles outside the town, with a total allocation of 14,000 euros and a maximum of 300 euros per beneficiary. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the province of Albacete number 127, dated October 30, 2026, within the Third Section (Local Administration), on page 20, with the identification number BDNS (identif.): 937843. The deadline to apply for the aid is only ten business days.
Regulatory Framework and Budgetary Support
The call is based on articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, which requires the publication of the call summary and its submission to the National Subsidies Database, where the full text can be consulted. The regulatory bases governing the call were approved by Resolution 1089 of 10/26/2026.
The allocated amount totals 14,000 euros, a figure that sets the global ceiling of the program: the subsidy per beneficiary may not exceed 300 euros under any circumstances. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Juan Gil Gutiérrez, dated October 26, 2026, and signed in El Bonillo.
Who Can Apply and Requirements
The recipients are residents of El Bonillo who are pursuing in-person intermediate or higher-level vocational training cycles, or university studies; master’s degrees, specialization courses, and professional certificates are excluded. The requirements are cumulative:
- Be registered as a resident (empadronado) in El Bonillo before January 1, 2025, and maintain this registration on the date the application is submitted.
- Pursue studies at a publicly owned educational center.
- Be enrolled in person in an intermediate or higher-level vocational training cycle or in university studies.
- Be up to date with tax obligations, the Social Security, and the Municipal Treasury.
- Be a maximum of 28 years old at the time of applying for the subsidy.
The application is submitted by the student if they are of legal age, and by the parent or legal guardian if they are a minor. The call applies to teaching for the 2025/2026 school year.
Purpose, Deadline, and Where to Apply
The stated objective is the promotion and encouragement of non-compulsory qualification studies that provide specific training to the youth of the municipality, improve their employability, and reduce the economic cost that these studies represent for families.
Applications must be submitted within ten business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of the province of Albacete, that is, starting from October 31, 2026. The full text of the call, along with the regulatory bases, is available on the electronic notice board of the El Bonillo City Council.
The call arrives with the course already well underway and with a very tight submission window of barely two calendar weeks, which requires families to have the supporting documentation for residency, enrollment, and tax status ready. For a small municipality, the program represents direct support for the educational emancipation of young people who must study elsewhere, although the limit of 300 euros per beneficiary leaves the aid far below the actual cost of university tuition or a vocational training cycle outside the town.
