Por FactBox Admin

The Official State Gazette number 192, of Friday, August 7, 2026, publishes in its section II, «Authorities and personnel», a broad block of appointments, assignment of posts and new public employment calls. The resolutions are concentrated in the ministries of Labour and Social Economy, Interior, Industry and Tourism, Health, and Digital Transformation and Civil Service, together with three faculty appointments at the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
The appointments are processed in accordance with Law 30/1984, of August 2, on measures for the reform of the Civil Service, and with the regulation approved by Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10. The calls for managerial staff are governed by Royal Decree-Law 6/2023, of December 19, and by Order TDF/379/2024, of April 26, which establish selection by suitability, professional competence and experience, with interviews and appointments of a maximum duration of five years.
Assignments and appointments in the General State Administration
The Undersecretariat of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy resolves, by means of the resolution of July 29, 2026 (reference BOE-A-2026-17190), the free designation call announced on June 11, 2026, and assigns the Provincial Directorate of the State Public Employment Service (SEPE) in Madrid to María Isabel Pellón Esteban, a civil servant in group A1 from the Provincial Directorate of Ávila. The Ministry of Health assigns, in turn, the position of advisory member of the Subdirectorate General for Regulations to Carlos Álvarez Hernando, of the Senior Corps of State Civil Administrators (reference BOE-A-2026-17192).
The Ministry of Industry and Tourism resolves the specific competition of the Institute of Tourism of Spain (TURESPAÑA), called on May 8, 2026, with awards such as the technical advisory post to Manuela González Carlomán González, from the SEPIE (reference BOE-A-2026-17191). The Secretariat of State for the Civil Service also corrects material errors in the resolution of June 5, 2026, whereby career civil servants were appointed in the Scale of Senior Technical Specialists of Autonomous Bodies of the Ministry of Environment, without altering the effective date (reference BOE-A-2026-17193).
UNED incorporates three tenured professors
The rector of the UNED, Ricardo Mairal Usón, signs three resolutions of July 28, 2026 appointing tenured professors in execution of the competitions called on April 20, 2026, in accordance with Organic Law 2/2023, of March 22, on the University System:
- Jorge Pérez Martín, in the area of “Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence”, Department of Artificial Intelligence (reference BOE-A-2026-17194).
- Juan Claver Gil, in the area of “Engineering Projects”, Department of Construction and Manufacturing Engineering (reference BOE-A-2026-17195).
- Claribel de Castro Sánchez, in the area of “Public International Law”, Department of Public International Law (reference BOE-A-2026-17196).
New calls for free-designation appointments
The Ministry of the Interior announces, by resolution of the Undersecretariat of 30 July 2026, the free-designation appointment to the Deputy Directorate-General for Economic and Asset Management of the Directorate-General for Interior Policy, a level 30 post in Madrid, with an application deadline of ten calendar days (reference BOE-A-2026-17197). In parallel, Order TES/832/2026, of 29 July, of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy opens the call for the Deputy Directorate-General for Statistics and Information of the SEPE, with the same deadline and preferred submission through the Funciona Portal (reference BOE-A-2026-17199).
Both procedures conform to the rules governing professional public management staff: competency assessment, interviews with the advice of two experts, and renewable appointments for periods of up to five years.
Civil service examinations: successful candidates, deadlines and boards
The Undersecretariat of Labour and Social Economy publishes the final list of successful candidates in the examination phase of the selection process for entry, by open access, into the Corps of Labour Sub-Inspectors, Occupational Safety and Health Scale, announced on 16 December 2025; successful candidates have twenty working days to provide the documentation (reference BOE-A-2026-17198). Order TDF/833/2026, of 28 July, appoints, in execution of Judgment No. 75/2026 of the Central Trial Court, the selection board for the internal promotion tests to the Secretariat Sub-scale, entry category, of the Scale of local administration officials with national qualification, chaired by Emilio José de Galdo Casado (reference BOE-A-2026-17200).
The section is completed with the modification of the list of Judicial Auxiliary Corps posts offered in Catalonia and with more than thirty calls from local entities, including the city councils of Alicante, Melilla, Seseña, Elx/Elche and Cornellà de Llobregat, to fill positions for technical staff, local police, assistants and trades staff, with deadlines of ten, fifteen or twenty working days.
The day consolidates the calendar for the provision of posts and selection processes: while departments close the calls opened in June and July, new procedures are opened that will be resolved in the coming weeks, with special impact on the SEPE, which renews its Madrid provincial directorate and opens a call for one of its deputy directorates general, and on the UNED, which incorporates three new tenured professors.
