The BOCM publishes the electoral sections, polling stations, and venues for 29N
Por FactBox Admin

The Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid publishes this Monday, October 12, 2026, the list of sections, polling stations, and electoral venues for all Madrid municipalities for the General Court elections on November 29, 2026. The announcement is issued by the Provincial Delegation of the Electoral Census Office of Madrid, under the National Statistics Institute, and spans pages 288 to 411 of B.O.C.M. no. 243, under the official reference BOCM-20261012-22.
The text is inserted in section II of the gazette, “State Provisions and Announcements,” and bears order number 22 within the issue. It is the regulatory publication that accompanies the electoral call: the Electoral Census Office thus makes known the division of the territory into sections and polling stations, and the venues assigned to each, so that voters can verify where they are assigned to vote.
The list closes with registration number 03/16.457/26, which identifies the announcement in the gazette’s system. The document does not include figures for voters or total polling stations: it is a territorial assignment list, not a statistical summary.
What the announcement contains
The list is organized in a table with nine columns that allow for the location of each voting point:
- DIST: electoral district.
- SECCI: census section.
- SB: subsection.
- MESA: polling station number.
- APEL1 and APEL2: surname ranges assigned to each station.
- LOCAL ELECTORAL: name of the voting venue.
- DIRECCIÓN LOCAL: postal address of the venue.
- CPOS: postal code.
Each row therefore identifies a specific polling station within a section, with the corresponding alphabetical interval of surnames and the school/center where it must be established.
Territorial coverage
The publication covers the entirety of the Community of Madrid. The municipalities appear numbered and ordered alphabetically, from 001, La Acebeda, to 183, Zarzalejo, to which are added entities 901, Lozoyuela-Navas-Sieteiglesias; 902, Puentes Viejas, and 903, Tres Cantos.
The bulk of the document corresponds to municipality 079, Madrid, whose sections are deployed by districts from 01 to 21 and occupy most of the pages. In the capital, venues such as the National Institute of Public Administrations, at Atocha street 106, or the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, at Alcalá street 34, appear alongside cultural centers, public schools, institutes, and senior centers.
In the rest of the region, the venues are mostly municipal and educational facilities:
- Houses of culture and cultural centers.
- Public schools, institutes, and preschools.
- Municipal pavilions and sports centers.
- Senior centers and social service centers.
- City halls and municipal boards.
Consultation for voters
The publication allows any voter to locate their polling station and venue before the election day on November 29. It is sufficient to identify the municipality, the section, and the surname range to obtain the exact address of the polling station and its postal code.
The announcement is limited to the assignment of venues and polling stations; it does not include the final census or the deadlines for claims, which are processed through other channels before the Electoral Census Office.
With this publication, the elections of November 29 cease to be merely a date on the calendar and now have a concrete address for every Madrid voter. The official list of sections, polling stations, and venues is the reference that city councils, electoral boards, and citizens will use to organize and cast their votes, and consulting it in advance prevents errors on voting day.
