The Guadalajara City Council rectifies the final list of service inspectors

The Guadalajara City Council has rectified a clerical error detected in the announcement of the final list of admitted and excluded applicants for the selective process to fill, via competitive examination and open entry, two positions for service inspectors. The correction is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Guadalajara (BOP) No. 187, dated September 30, 2026, and was signed by the Delegate Councilor for Human Resources, Isabel Nogueroles Viñes, on September 29, 2026.

A correction limited to the header

The rectification affects only the title of the announcement published in the BOP of Guadalajara No. 185, dated September 29, 2026. Where the gazette stated “PROVISIONAL LIST OF ADMITTED AND EXCLUDED APPLICANTS,” it should state “FINAL LIST OF ADMITTED AND EXCLUDED APPLICANTS.”

The error is, therefore, clerical and related to the heading: it does not alter the nominal list of applicants or the reasons for exclusion, but rather the nature of the list, which was already final.

The Guadalajara City Council invokes Article 109.2 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, which allows administrations to rectify, at any time, ex officio or at the request of the interested parties, clerical, factual, or arithmetic errors existing in their acts.

The selective process: two positions and 65 applicants

The convened process seeks the permanent filling, via competitive examination and open entry, of two vacant service inspector positions within the civil servant staff of the Guadalajara City Council, in execution of the Public Employment Offer for the 2026 fiscal year.

• Rules and call for applications: approved by Decree on June 26, 2026, and published in the BOP of Guadalajara No. 123, dated July 1, 2026, and in the BOE No. 165, dated July 8, 2026.
• Provisional lists: approved by Decree on August 13, 2026, and published in the BOP of Guadalajara No. 157, dated August 18, 2026.
• Applicants admitted in the provisional list: 65.
• Applicants excluded in the provisional list: 2, for failing to prove unemployment seniority and for failing to attach the required qualification.
• Correction period opened at that time: ten business days from the day following publication.

Effects for the applicants

The publication of the final list in the BOP of Guadalajara No. 185 closed the correction phase opened with the provisional lists. The now-published rectification confirms that this list already had a final character and that the header presenting it as provisional was due to a transcription error.

Applicants participating in the process must, consequently, abide by the final list of admitted and excluded candidates, without the correction introducing changes to the composition of the lists or opening a new period for claims. The announcement is also disseminated on the electronic headquarters of the bulletin, with verification code 20b6947c3293d577f1b2a66dd4d66d7875b24a52.

For applicants for the two service inspector positions, the rectification clears up a relevant ambiguity: the list with which the process continues is the final one, not the provisional one. The correction, supported by Law 39/2015, reinforces the legal certainty of the procedure and prevents a heading error from generating doubts about the phase in which the competitive examination is currently.
