El Arenal schedules the operator-driver exam for September 23.

The El Arenal Town Council has closed the admission phase of the selection process to fill a permanent staff position as a multi-service operator-driver and has called the first exercise for September 23, 2026. The Mayor’s resolution, signed on August 10, publishes the definitive list of the two admitted applicants, appoints the selection board, and summons the applicants in a single call. The announcement is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Ávila of this Thursday, August 13, 2026, with number 1682/26, within the Local Administration section.

The position is filled through the open competitive examination system, in accordance with the provisions of the call’s terms. Before this resolution, the municipal council displayed the provisional list of admitted applicants on the Town Hall notice board and in the provincial bulletin; after the period for claims elapsed with none submitted, the Mayor’s Office has ratified the list of applicants. The decision is signed by the mayor, Ángel González Cortázar.

Two admitted applicants for one position

The definitive list of applicants who have passed the admission phase consists of two candidates:

• Labrado Fernández, Raúl (*0059).
• Plaza García, Carlos (*8760).

Selection process board

The selection board will be chaired by Mr. Antonio Illescas de la Fuente, a nationally qualified civil servant, with Mr. Juan Luis Cano Laplaza as alternate. The selection body is completed by:

• Member for the Junta de Castilla y León: Mr. Juan Antono Reinoso Blázquez (alternate: Mr. Juan Simón Rodríguez Campo).
• Member for the Provincial Council: Mr. Mariano Terceño González (alternate: Mr. Miguel Leralta Montero).
• Member for the Provincial Council: Ms. Francisca García García (alternate: Mr. José Ignacio Luis Pérez).
• Secretary: Mr. Raúl Recio Recio, nationally qualified civil servant.

First exercise: single call

The first exercise will be held on September 23, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. in the Cultural Center “La Fábrica”. The applicants are summoned in a single call, so that those who do not appear will be excluded from the selection process. The board may require candidates at any time to prove their identity, and they must at all times attend provided with their national identity document (DNI/NIF) (or, failing that, passport or driving license) and a pen.

With this call, El Arenal takes a definitive step toward covering, on a permanent basis, a permanent position in its municipal services, a process that directly affects the organization of the town council’s staff. The appointment on September 23, with only two candidates in contention, is presented as a decisive and swiftly resolved phase: the absence of any of those summoned would result in their automatic exclusion.
