Educación reconoce a Ana Ruth Jiménez Espino como directora del Colegio Villacorta

The Executive Branch in the Field of Education, Science, and Technology recognized Professor Ana Ruth Jiménez Espino as the director of the private educational center Colegio Superior Profesor “Edmundo Alirio Villacorta”, located in Quezaltepeque, department of La Libertad. The decision was formalized in Agreement No. 15-1637/2026, published in the Official Gazette Volume No. 453, Number 184, on Monday, October 5, 2026, on page 7, within the field of Education, Science, and Technology.

The recognition is based on resolution No. 117-08-2026-20261, issued by the Management of Academic Management and Registry of the General Directorate of Education on August 19, 2026, which favorably resolved the request for recognition as director of the aforementioned school. On that basis, the Executive agreed to recognize the position and ordered, in point II of the agreement, the publication of the act in the Official Gazette.

The agreement was issued at the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology, in the District of San Salvador, Municipality of San Salvador Centro, department of San Salvador, on the twenty-eighth day of the month of August, two thousand twenty-six, and bears the signature of Karla Edith Trigueros, Major and Doctor, Minister of Education, Science, and Technology, with Registry No. F50083.

Who assumes the direction of the center

The agreement identifies the new head of the center with the following data:

  • Name: Professor Ana Ruth Jiménez Espino.
  • Unique Identity Document No. 01819612-4.
  • Enrollment in the Educators’ Salary Scale Registry under the name Ana Ruth Jiménez de Mendoza.
  • Professional Identification Number 1100953 PDN2-116.
  • Replaces Professor Carlos Alfredo Morales Barahona in the position.

The educational center and its authorized address

Colegio Superior Profesor “Edmundo Alirio Villacorta” is a private educational center with infrastructure code No. 20261. Its authorized address is listed as Calle Final Avenida 3 de Mayo, opposite the train line, Colonia Palmira, in the territory that the agreement describes as the Municipality of Quezaltepeque, department of La Libertad, and which the new territorial division identifies as the District of Quezaltepeque, Municipality of La Libertad Norte, of the same department.

A procedure within the educational field

The recognition is part of the series of acts that the Education field publishes in each edition of the Official Gazette. In the same number 184 of Volume No. 453 also appears Agreement No. 15-1679/2026, through which the academic validity of a high school diploma obtained abroad is recognized within the Salvadoran educational system, a procedure supported by resolution number 368 of the Management of Academic Management and Registry, dated August 20, 2026.

Both acts share the same administrative logic: a prior technical resolution from the academic management and, subsequently, formalization by Executive agreement with an order for publication. In the case of Agreement No. 15-1637/2026, the documentary chain goes from the resolution of August 19 to the agreement signed on August 28 and, finally, to its appearance in the bulletin of October 5.

The change in leadership directly affects the educational community of the Colegio Superior Profesor “Edmundo Alirio Villacorta”: students, families, teaching and administrative staff of the center now depend on a new officially recognized head. For parents and students, the agreement is the public record of who exercises the legal and academic representation of the school, a relevant detail for enrollment procedures, grade certifications, and the management of official documents before the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
