The Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports has announced 170,000 euros in prizes for publicly funded educational centers in Ceuta and Melilla that develop projects on innovation, inclusion, and sustainability. The call is listed in the extract of the Resolution of September 29, 2026, from the Secretary of State for Education, published in the Official State Gazette (Boletín Oficial del Estado) number 246, dated October 3, 2026, with official reference BOE-B-2026-32144. Interested parties have fifteen business days to submit their applications.

Recognition of innovative good practices

The call is titled Recognition of Innovative and Inclusive Good Practice Projects (PBPII) 2026 and is processed under a competitive bidding system. Its purpose is to support educational centers in creating projects that promote innovation, inclusion, and sustainability, reinforcing their role as active agents in social transformation, in line with the international commitments acquired by the State.

The extract is published in accordance with the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and its full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database, with identifier 932888.

Who can participate and under what bases

Publicly funded educational centers providing non-university education within the Spanish educational system in Ceuta and Melilla may apply. The call is governed by:

  • The General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17.
  • Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves the Regulations of said Law.
  • Order ECI/1305/2005, of April 20, regarding the regulatory bases for the granting of public subsidies under a competitive bidding system, published in the BOE on May 12.

Distribution of prizes

The total amount of the call amounts to 170,000 euros, distributed across four categories:

  • 62,500 euros: five first prizes of 12,500 euros each.
  • 50,000 euros: five second prizes of 10,000 euros each.
  • 37,500 euros: five third prizes of 7,500 euros each.

Deadline and submission of applications

The extract was signed in Madrid on September 29, 2026, by the Secretary of State for Education, Abelardo de la Rosa Díaz.

The call for applications reaches the educational community of the two autonomous cities with a dual effect: it provides specific funding for innovation, inclusion, and sustainability projects in public centers, and publicly recognizes teaching work in territories with unique needs. For the centers in Ceuta and Melilla, the awards represent a direct funding route to consolidate educational practices that can later be replicated across the rest of the system.
