Educación nombra funcionarios en prácticas a más de 900 opositores docentes

The Department of Education of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has appointed as civil servants in training the individuals selected in the selective procedures for entry and access to the bodies of secondary education teachers, official language school teachers, and music and performing arts teachers. The appointment is formalized through Order EDU/958/2026, of September 23, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León (BOCYL) No. 189, of September 29, 2026, in section I.B.1 of Appointments, Situations, and Incidents. In general, the appointments take administrative effect from September 1, 2026, and economic effect from the date of taking office.

The order develops section thirty-nine.1 of Order EDU/2/2026, of January 5, which convened the selective processes for entry, access, and acquisition of new specialties. Following the entry into force of Decree 18/2026, of June 29, regarding the organic structure of the Department, references to the Directorate General of Human Resources are understood to be made to the Directorate General of Education Professionals. The lists were displayed on July 31, 2026, in accordance with the Resolution of July 23, 2026, and, upon the expiration of the period for administrative appeals, the appointment proceeds with the score modifications derived from their approval. The order bears the signature of the counselor María Pardo Álvarez, in Valladolid on September 23, 2026.

Nearly a thousand appointments in three bodies

  • Annex I: body 0590, secondary education teachers, with 30 specialties, from Philosophy to Community Services.
  • Annex II: body 0592, official language school teachers, English specialty.
  • Annex III: body 0594, music and performing arts teachers, Piano specialty.
  • Each person is listed with their personal registration number, the specialty through which they gained access, and the province of assignment for the training phase: Ávila, Burgos, León, Palencia, Salamanca, Segovia, Soria, Valladolid, and Zamora.
  • The lists are ordered by score; the highest in Annex I corresponds to Sara Lorenzo Fraile (Spanish Language and Literature, Salamanca), with 9.6744 points.

Exemptions, deferrals, and new specialties

  • Annex IV: seven people exempt from the evaluation of the internship phase.
  • Annex V: five people exempt from the internship phase, who will remain in their original bodies until their appointment as career civil servants.
  • Annex VI: one deferral, that of Juan Félix Fernández Gallego Anaya (Valladolid), who will carry out the internship in the 2027/2028 academic year.
  • Annex VII: eight people declared fit in the acquisition of new specialties, including Latin, English, Music, Analysis and Industrial Chemistry, Community Social Intervention, Health Processes, and Community Services.

Effects, obligations, and appeals process

The scoring order will be taken into account for the first participation in the next transfer competition, in which the selected candidates are obliged to participate mandatorily. Those appointed must submit a declaration of not incurring any cause of incompatibility, in accordance with Law 53/1984 and Decree 227/1997, and those already providing paid services in the Administration must opt for the receipt of remuneration before their provincial education directorate. Against the order, which ends the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the High Court of Justice of Castilla y León within two months and, previously and optionally, a request for reversal before the counselor within one month.

The same issue of the BOCYL publishes the correction of errors of the Resolution of July 28, 2026, which regulates the internship phase of these persons and entirely replaces its annexes I and III, on page 55.

The appointment directly affects the teaching staff for the 2026/2027 academic year and thousands of candidates who already know their internship destination and their position on the scale, which is decisive for the next transfer competition. The publication closes the administrative phase of the selection process and opens the internship period that will culminate with the appointment as career civil service personnel.
