Educación convoca para 2027 las pruebas libres del graduado en ESO

The Vice-Ministry of Education, Universities, and Research of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports has announced the 2027 open exams for obtaining the Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) Graduate degree for persons over eighteen years of age in Castilla-La Mancha. The call is formalized in the Resolution of 10/23/2026, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 210, dated November 3, 2026, with the official reference [2026/7808] and signed by the Vice-Minister María del Mar Torrecilla Sánchez.

Two annual calls and registration calendar

Order 39/2024, of March 7, of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports, regulates the obtaining of the degree through open exams and provides in article 4.1 for the holding of at least two annual exams. The resolution now specifies that mandate with two dates: the exams will be held on March 1, 2027 (first call) and May 12, 2027 (second).

The application deadlines are set as follows:

  • First annual exam: from January 18 to February 1, 2027.
  • Second annual exam: from March 30 to April 13, 2027.

The call is based on article 68.2 of Organic Law 2/2006, of May 3, on Education, which tasks educational administrations with periodically organizing these exams, and on Order 186/2022, of September 27, which establishes their annual nature.

Requirements, fee, and exemptions

Those who meet four conditions may participate: be at least eighteen years old on the day of the exam, not possess the ESO Graduate degree or equivalent, not be currently enrolled in ESO, and not be enrolled in the areas or subjects being applied for in Secondary Education for Adults, whether in-person or distance learning.

The examination fee is 10.44 euros per annual exam, in accordance with article 422 of Law 9/2012, of November 29. Payment is made using form 046 of the Tax Portal, with territorial code EC0001 and concept 1254. The provided discounts are:

  • 50% for members of a general category large family.
  • Total exemption for special category large families, total or absolute permanent disability or severe invalidity, and families receiving the minimum solidarity income.

Applications should preferably be submitted electronically through the EducamosCLM platform, using Cl@ve, electronic ID (DNIe), or access credentials; submission via the in-person route according to the model in Annex I is also possible.

Six centers and exam structure

The exams will be conducted at the centers listed in Annex II, divided between evaluating centers and support centers:

  • Los Llanos Adult Education Center (Albacete), evaluating center.
  • Antonio Gala Adult Education Center (Ciudad Real), evaluating center.
  • Lucas Aguirre Adult Education Center (Cuenca), support center assigned to Los Llanos.
  • Río Sorbe Adult Education Center (Guadalajara), support center assigned to Los Llanos.
  • Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer Adult Education Center and Polígono Adult Education Center (Toledo), support centers assigned to Antonio Gala.

The exams are organized into three areas—Communication, Social, and Scientific-Technological—with the following time slots: Scientific-Technological from 9:00 to 11:30, Social from 12:30 to 14:00, Spanish Language and Literature from 16:30 to 17:45, and Foreign Language (English or French) from 18:00 to 19:30. If a support center does not reach ten registrants, the candidates will be reassigned to another center, and the provincial delegations will guarantee the exams in penitentiary centers that request them.

Publication of grades and appeals

Grades will be published in EducamosCLM on March 8, 2027, for the first call and on May 18, 2027, for the second. Appeals may be submitted from March 9 to 11 and on May 19 and 21, 2027, with final grades on March 15 and May 26. The boards must be appointed before February 17, 2027, and an administrative appeal may be filed against the grades before the provincial delegation within one month.

The regulation takes effect from the day following its publication, that is, from November 4, 2026. The call maintains a direct certification route for those who dropped out of secondary studies, with two annual opportunities, adaptation of time and means for people with disabilities, and recognition of previously passed studies.
