Education announces 830,000 euros in grants for Baccalaureate and Vocational Training
Por FactBox Admin

The Department of Education of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has announced grants for a maximum global amount of 830,000 euros for students enrolled in Baccalaureate, Vocational Training within the educational system, and certain special regime teachings in centers within the Community during the 2026-2027 academic year. The call is published via an extract of the Order of October 15, 2026, in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León no. 203, dated October 20, 2026 (reference BOCYL-D-20102026-203-5). Interested parties will have 20 business days to submit their application.
The regulation is based on the regulatory bases established by Order EDU/596/2025, of June 6, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León no. 114, of June 17, 2025, and is resolved on a competitive basis in accordance with article 22.1 of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17. The extract is disseminated with the identifier BDNS 935756, which allows the full text of the call to be consulted in the National Subsidies Database as well as in the electronic office of the regional Administration and on the Education Portal.
Three types of aid, with up to 1,600 euros for residency
The amount of each grant depends on the modality and the circumstances of the family unit, and is divided into three concepts that can be accumulated:
- Variable aid between 200 and 450 euros, depending on the income of the family unit.
- Fixed aid linked to residency, of 1,600 euros.
- Fixed aid for academic excellence, between 50 and 125 euros.
The extract of the call does not detail the number of expected beneficiaries, although the global credit of 830,000 euros sets the spending ceiling for the entire academic year.
Students or families as applicants
Students may apply for the grants themselves when they are of legal age and prove economic independence. Otherwise, the application corresponds to the father, mother, or legal guardian of the student. In both cases, it is necessary to meet the general, academic, and economic requirements established in the call, which refers to the full text published in the National Subsidies Database.
The scope of application consists of centers in the Community of Castilla y León that provide Baccalaureate, Vocational Training of the educational system, or the special regime teachings included in the call, always referring to the 2026-2027 academic year.
Twenty business days from the day following publication
The application period is 20 business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León, that is, from October 21, 2026. Processing is carried out electronically through the electronic office of the Community Administration, where the call can be located using the identifier BDNS 935756.
The order bears the signature of the Minister of Education, María Pardo Álvarez, and is dated in Valladolid on October 15, 2026.
The call arrives with the school year already underway and affects thousands of families with children in non-university stages, for whom these grants cover both the cost of materials and tuition as well as, in the case of the residency modality, the stay away from the family home. The weight of the residency aid—1,600 euros, the highest individual amount—makes it the primary means of support for students studying away from their hometown, while the variable and excellence brackets reward low income and academic records. With a deadline of only 20 business days, electronic submission within the timeframe becomes the first practical obstacle for applicants.
