Educación concede 450.000 euros a 56 centros concertados para contratar profesorado PROA+

The Department of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training has decided to grant 450,000 euros to 56 private subsidized centers in Galicia for the hiring of support and reinforcement teachers within the framework of the PROA+ program during the 2026/27 and 2027/28 academic years. The definitive list of granted aid, non-selected centers, and exclusions is made public in the Resolution of October 9, 2026, disseminated in the Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG) no. 199 of October 20, 2026, with the reference CVE-DOG: bxu5cd01-buy3-xw95-tyz7-wuxvqynj3tb2.

Regulatory framework and European funding

The call stems from the Order of the Department of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training of May 11, 2026, published in DOG no. 97 of May 27, which established the regulatory bases for these grants under procedure code ED301M. The program is part of the Employment, Education, Training and Social Economy Program of the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) for the 2021-2027 programming period.

The resolution, which concludes the administrative process, was signed by delegation by Judith Fernández Novoa, Director General of Educational Planning and Innovation, by virtue of the Order of May 11, 2026 (DOG no. 97). Of the total of 85 centers that applied for the procedure, 56 were selected, 26 were left out for not achieving sufficient points, and 3 were excluded for failing to meet the requirements of the bases.

Distribution: 55 grants of 8,000 euros and one of 10,000

The economic allocation is distributed almost uniformly: all selected centers receive 8,000 euros except one, which receives 10,000. The highest scores on the scale are:

  • CPR Plurilingüe Calasancias (A Coruña): 70.08 points and 10,000 euros, the highest allocation of the call.
  • CPR Plurilingüe Liceo La Paz (A Coruña): 67.73 points and 8,000 euros.
  • CPR Plurilingüe Rosalía de Castro (Vigo): 67.65 points and 8,000 euros.
  • CPR Plurilingüe Andaina (Culleredo): 65.17 points and 8,000 euros.
  • CPR Plurilingüe Fogar de Santa Margarida (A Coruña): 63.79 points and 8,000 euros.

By province, the distribution of the 56 selected centers is as follows: 30 in Pontevedra, 14 in A Coruña, 7 in Ourense, and 5 in Lugo. Among the beneficiaries are also CPR Plurilingüe La Grande Obra de Atocha and CPR Plurilingüe Arenales Compañía (Ferrol), CPR Plurilingüe Vila do Arenteiro (O Carballiño), CPR Plurilingüe Sagrada Familia (Vilagarcía de Arousa), CPR Plurilingüe Padres Franciscanos (Lugo), and EFAG Fonteboa (Coristanco).

Non-selected centers and exclusions

Annex II lists the 26 centers that did not receive aid, including CPR Plurilingüe Alca (Ames), CPR Cid and CPR Plurilingüe Hijas de Jesús (A Coruña), CPR Ludy (Ferrol), CPR Plurilingüe Vilas Alborada (Santiago de Compostela), CPR Plurilingüe La Merced (Sarria), CPR Plurilingüe Miraflores (O Pereiro de Aguiar) and CPR Plurilingüe Bouza Brey (Vigo).

Annex III approves the exclusion of three centers, with the specific reasons:

  • CPR Plurilingüe San José (Lugo), for non-compliance with article 11.2 of the bases.
  • CPR Plurilingüe Santa Teresa de Jesús (Ourense), due to article 5.1.
  • CPR Daniel Castelao (Vigo), due to article 7.1.

Appeals and deadlines

An optional appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution before the Minister of Education, Science, Universities and Vocational Training within one month from the day following its publication in the DOG, in accordance with articles 123 and 124 of Law 39/2015. Alternatively, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the High Court of Justice of Galicia within two months, according to articles 10, 14 and 46.1 of Law 29/1998.

The publication closes the procedure opened in May and clarifies the hiring of reinforcement teaching staff in subsidized centers for two consecutive courses. For the affected educational communities, the list confirms that they will have additional teachers funded by European funds until the 2027/28 course, while the 29 centers that remained outside the list —including those not selected and those excluded— must assume these reinforcements with their own resources or waive them.
