Education authorizes the Colegio Bautista Ciudad Arce in La Libertad Centro

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology authorized the creation, nomination, and operation of the Colegio Bautista Ciudad Arce, a private educational center that will provide preschool and basic education in the district of Ciudad Arce, municipality of La Libertad Centro, department of La Libertad. The decision was formalized in Agreement No. 15-1632/2026, published in the Official Gazette Volume No. 452, Number 176, on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with Registry No. F48116. Consequently, families in the area will have a new private school offering in the morning shift.

The agreement was issued by the Executive Branch in the Field of Education, Science and Technology and bears the signature of Minister Karla Edith Trigueros, dated August 28, 2026, in the district of San Salvador, municipality of San Salvador Centro. The resolution is based on favorable opinion No. 102-07-2026-11208, issued on July 28, 2026, by the Management of Academic Management and Registry of the General Directorate of Education, which declared the creation of the educational center proceedable.

What the agreement authorizes

Agreement No. 15-1632/2026 details the conditions under which the new school will operate:

• Preschool Education level for 4, 5, and 6 years old.
• Basic Education, First Cycle, for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade.
• Morning shift for both levels.
• Authorized address: 8a Calle Oriente, Solar Letra O, Polígono D, S/N, district of Ciudad Arce, municipality of La Libertad Centro, department of La Libertad.
• Assigned infrastructure code: No. 11208.

Recognized owner and director

In the same agreement, the Ministry of Education recognizes the entity responsible for the center and its highest authority:

• Iglesia Bautista Ciudad Arce, recognized as the institution authorized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology to provide educational services, in its capacity as the owner of the educational center.
• Professor Pablo Raúl Guevara Jaime, recognized as the director of Colegio Bautista Ciudad Arce.
• Director’s Unique Identity Document: No. 03556038-6.
• Registration in the Educators’ Salary Scale Registry with Professional Identification Number 0808209 PDN2 - 112.

Procedure and official publication

The agreement instructs the publication of the decision in the Official Gazette, a requirement that was fulfilled with its appearance in the September 23, 2026 edition, corresponding to Volume No. 452, Number 176. The summary of that edition announces the act as the authorization for the creation, nomination, and operation of the private educational center, and includes it among the provisions of the Education, Science, and Technology sector. The same edition of the bulletin contains other acts from the sector, such as the recognition of academic validity for studies completed in another country and the recognition of a director in a private school in Ahuachapán.

The authorization enables the operation of the school under the official name of Colegio Bautista Ciudad Arce, as stated in the body of the agreement, and assigns the Iglesia Bautista Ciudad Arce the responsibility of sustaining the educational service as the owner. The text does not establish enrollment deadlines or opening calendars in this agreement; therefore, the commencement of operations will depend on the administrative and academic procedures that the institution completes before the General Directorate of Education.

The publication in the Official Gazette provides legal certainty to the act and allows the community to verify the name of the center, its address, the authorized levels, and the identity of its owner and director. For families in the district of Ciudad Arce and the rest of the municipality of La Libertad Centro, the agreement represents an additional enrollment alternative for preschool and the first three grades of basic education, in an area where the demand for school spots tends to be concentrated in a few centers. It also sets a verifiable precedent: any subsequent change of director, owner, or levels will require a new administrative act published in the same bulletin.
