Por FactBox Admin

EBOOKERS.IE Limited has been wound up by way of members’ voluntary winding up, after resolutions were passed in writing on 2 October 2026 and published in Iris Oifigiúil No. 82 of 13 October 2026. Paul Walsh of Grant Thornton has been appointed liquidator for the purpose of the winding up. The notice is made in the matter of the Companies Act 2014.
The winding up follows a declaration by the directors of the company dated 30 September 2026, made under section 207 of the Companies Act 2014, and proceeds under the summary approval procedure in accordance with section 579 of the same Act. The resolutions were signed by the liquidator on 12 October 2026. The notice states that this is a members’ voluntary winding up, in which all admitted creditors have been or will be paid in full.
The resolutions passed in writing
- That, as contemplated by the directors’ declaration of 30 September 2026 made under section 207 of the Act, the company be wound up by way of members’ voluntary winding up in accordance with section 579 of the Act.
- That the liquidator be authorised to distribute to the sole member, in specie or kind, the whole or any part of the assets of the company, and to set such value as he deems fair on any property so distributed.
- That Paul Walsh of Grant Thornton be appointed liquidator for the purpose of winding up the company.
- That the terms of the liquidator’s entitlement to remuneration set out in the letter of engagement dated 17 September 2026, and his remuneration in accordance with that letter, be approved.
Liquidator, address and creditor claims
The notice identifies the liquidator as Paul Walsh, Grant Thornton, 13-18 City Quay, Dublin 2, and is signed and dated 12 October 2026. Because the winding up is a members’ voluntary liquidation, the notice states that all admitted creditors have been or will be paid in full. Any outstanding creditor is directed to send a claim in writing to the liquidator within 28 days of his appointment.
What the procedure means
A members’ voluntary winding up is the route used when a company is solvent and its members decide to bring it to an end, rather than a creditors’ insolvency. Publication of the resolutions in Iris Oifigiúil is the formal step that places the liquidator’s appointment and the terms of the winding up on the public record.
For anyone still owed money by EBOOKERS.IE Limited, the practical consequence is a deadline: claims must reach the liquidator in writing within 28 days of his appointment, after which the liquidation can proceed to completion. The notice also confirms that the liquidator may distribute the company’s assets to its sole member in specie or kind, and that his remuneration has been fixed by reference to the engagement letter of 17 September 2026.
