Don Benito publishes the final list for the librarian position

The Don Benito City Council has published the final list of admitted and excluded applicants to fill one position of Library Director via internal promotion, as well as the composition of the Qualifying Tribunal and the date of the single exercise of the opposition phase. The Mayoral resolution is recorded in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 181, corresponding to Tuesday, September 22, 2026, under announcement 3676/2026. The exercise will be held on October 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

The purpose of the call is the provision, as career civil service personnel and through the competition-examination system, of one Library Director position in the internal promotion shift of the Honorable City Council of Don Benito, assigned to the Library Area. The rules governing the process were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 124, of July 2, 2026, with announcement reference 2559/2026.

The final announcement comes after the provincial gazette (number 156, announcement 3256/2026) released the provisional list of admitted and excluded applicants on August 17, 2026, which opened a period of three business days for the correction of defects and the submission of claims. With that procedure closed without modifications, the now-published Mayoral resolution elevates the list to final and completes the calendar of the selection process.

A single admitted applicant and none excluded

The final list of admitted and excluded applicants is closed with a single candidacy and no exclusions:

• Admitted: Encarnación María Morcillo Vázquez (DNI ***4647).
• Excluded: none.

Composition of the Qualifying Tribunal

The evaluating body is composed of a career official appointed by the Mayor as President, three titular members with their substitutes, and one member designated by the Junta de Extremadura:

• Presidency: titular Adolfo Delgado Fernández; substitute Juan Carlos Fernández.
• Members: Pilar Yecora Caballero (titular) and Julián Vega García (substitute); Francisco Buxeda Carballo (titular) and Elena Gómez Soriano (substitute); Jacinto Fernández Ruiz (titular) and María Ángeles García Romero (substitute).
• Member for the Junta de Extremadura: Pedro Manuel Rey Vázquez (titular) and Catalina Pulido Corrales (substitute).
• Secretariat: the Corporation’s secretary or the public employee to whom they delegate, with voice but without vote; titular Juan Carlos García Blázquez and substitute María José Rodríguez Paredes.

Date, time, and place of the single exercise

The test of the opposition phase will be held under the following conditions:

• Date: October 9, 2026 (Friday).
• Time: 10:00 AM.
• Place: annex room of the plenary hall of the Don Benito City Council, at Mesones Street, number 9.

With this publication, the process enters its decisive phase: candidates now know the body that will evaluate them and the exact day of the test, while the Don Benito City Council moves forward in filling a management position in its Library Area. The resolution will also be disseminated on the notice board and in the news/employment area of the municipal website, and bears the signature of the mayor Elisabeth Medina Bravo.
