Don Benito appoints Joaquín Antonio Ruiz Pérez, technical engineer, on a permanent basis.

The Don Benito City Council has permanently appointed Joaquín Antonio Ruiz Pérez as a career civil servant for the post of public works technical engineer in the Roads and Works Service. The decision, adopted by resolution of the Mayor’s Office of 31 July 2026 and announced on 3 August, has economic-administrative effects from 1 August 2026. The appointment is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 156, of 13 August 2026 (reference 2026081385).

The appointment completes the selection process called to permanently fill a position for a public works technical engineer, civil servant staff, open access, by the competitive examination procedure, included in the council’s 2024 Public Employment Offer (OEP). The terms of the call for applications were published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz on 10 February 2026, and the process was conducted based on the records of the file opened by the City Council to fill the said position. The Mayor-President, Elisabeth Medina Bravo, signed the announcement in exercise of the powers conferred on her by Article 21.1.h) of Law 7/1985, of 2 April, regulating the Bases of Local Government, as amended by Law 57/2003, of 16 December, on measures for the modernization of local government.

A permanent appointment after the 2024 OEP

The process, managed by the council for the Roads and Works Service, was resolved with the appointment of Joaquín Antonio Ruiz Pérez, holder of national identity document no. *7908. According to the resolution, the appointee is assigned to the post with position code in the Staffing List (RPT) VOOP01 and economic-administrative effects as of 1 August 2026; with this agreement, the post is permanently filled after passing the phases of the selection procedure.
