Don Benito announces the examination for three Social Worker positions

The Don Benito City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz the final list of admitted and excluded applicants, the composition of the qualifying board, and the date of the first exercise of the call to fill three permanent positions for Social Worker, through a competitive examination process. The resolution, signed by Mayor Elisabeth Medina Bravo, is disseminated in the BOP of Badajoz number 171, dated September 7, 2026, via Announcement 3526/2026.

The call, aimed at civil service personnel in the open entry system, is part of the city council’s Basic Social Care Service. The regulatory bases were published in the BOP on July 2, 2026, and the admission phase now closes with a total of 72 applicants who may take the tests.

Final list of admitted and excluded applicants

Following the correction period, the resolution confirms the final list of participants. A total of 72 applicants have been admitted, while 7 applications have been excluded for various reasons.

• 72 admitted, including Aurora del Mar Acosta Bote, María Antonia Alonso Sánchez, Laura Aniceto Parejo, Raquel Benítez Cuevas, Marta Franco Cabrera, María Jesús Gamero Durán, Noelia Jiménez Santos, Diana Mena Juez, Cristina Navarro Garrancho, Matilde Vivas Mata, and others.
• 7 excluded, for reasons such as documentation submitted after the deadline, absence of the application form or non-certified documentation, and non-payment of the fee.

Among the excluded are Marta Asins Espadiña, Claudia Bernardo Pinedo, Josefa Cerrato Morcillo, Teresa Purificación Gamarro Moreno, Cristina Gómez Moreno, Esther Gragera Tortonda, and Alicia Morales Zambrano.

Composition of the qualifying board

The resolution nominally designates the board that will evaluate the tests, composed mostly of public employees from the Junta de Extremadura and the city council itself.

The first exercise of the competitive phase, in a multiple-choice test format, will be held on November 20, 2026 (Friday) at 11:30 AM. The location will be the room adjacent to the municipal sports pavilion of the Ciudad Deportiva de Don Benito, with access via Eusebio Parejo Street, s/n or Piscina Street, s/n.

The resolution will also be published on the notice board of the Don Benito City Council and in the news and employment board area of its website, to ensure dissemination among interested parties.

Relevance of the call

This public employment offer reinforces the municipality’s staff of social workers at a time of high demand for basic social services. With 72 applicants for three positions, competition will be high, and the publication of the final list and the tribunal allows candidates to prepare with certainty for the appointment on November 20.
