Twelve candidates compete for two piano positions in Toledo

Por FactBox Admin

The Toledo Municipal Music Board has published the provisional lists of admitted and excluded applicants for the filling, via the general open access system, of two piano teacher positions, under a full-time permanent employment contract. The resolution, signed by the president of the Board, Daniel Morcillo Sandaza, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Toledo number 167, dated September 2, 2026, with reference No. I.- 3874.

The announcement comes after the conclusion of the application period for the selection process, which was convened in the same gazette on Thursday, May 7, 2026. In accordance with the provisions of Bases 4.1 and 4.2 of the call, the managing body declares a total of twelve applicants admitted, with no candidates excluded in this provisional phase.

Twelve admitted and none excluded

The provisional list includes the twelve applicants who have passed the admission process, ordered by application number and with their NIF partially hidden:

  • Isabel Muñoz Castaño
  • Danae Álvarez González
  • María Victoria Montiel Valcárcel
  • Carmen López Hernández
  • Nuria Landa Goñi
  • Carlos Hiram Zúñiga Guerra
  • Elena González Tofiños
  • Alberto Álvarez Rodríguez
  • Luis Pinel Bodas
  • José Ramón García Pérez
  • Alonso Pinilla Villamor
  • Carlos Martínez Paredes

In the section for excluded applicants, the gazette expressly indicates “none,” meaning all applicants who submitted their request within the deadline have been admitted to the next phase of the process.

An ongoing open access process

The call follows the general open access system, which allows the participation of any person who meets the required qualification and capacity requirements, without the need to previously belong to the organization’s staff. The positions are offered under a full-time permanent employment contract serving the Toledo Municipal Music Board, an autonomous body dependent on the Toledo City Council.

The resolution, issued in Toledo on August 24, 2026, is adopted by virtue of the powers that the Board’s Statutes confer upon its president, and orders the completion of the relevant procedures to continue the development of the selection process.

Next steps

As these are provisional lists, applicants will have the regulatory period to present allegations or correct possible errors before the final lists are approved. Once finalized, the competitive examination or merit-based phase corresponding to the piano specialty will be convened, which will determine the selection of the two candidates who will occupy the positions.

The publication of these lists represents a step forward in the teaching staff coverage of the Patronato Municipal de Música de Toledo, which thus reinforces its permanent staff of piano teachers to meet its educational and concert programming in the city.
