Por FactBox Admin

The mayor of the Municipality of Dobrova-Polhov Gradec, Jure Dolinar, has called regular elections to the local community councils of Črni Vrh, Dobrova, Polhov Gradec and Šentjošt nad Horjulom, to be held on Sunday, 15 November 2026. The call was published in the Uradni list Republike Slovenije, issue 1391/2026 of 2 September 2026, under reference 2026-01-2051.

The decision is based on Article 111, first paragraph, of the Local Elections Act (Uradni list RS, No. 94/07, 45/08, 83/12, 68/17, 93/20, 10/24 and 10/26) and on Article 70, fifth paragraph, of the Statute of the Municipality of Dobrova-Polhov Gradec (Uradni list RS, No. 155/22 and 47/25). The call enters into force the day after its publication in the official gazette.

Election calendar and procedures

The day of the call, from which the deadlines for electoral procedures begin to run, is set as Monday, 7 September 2026. The conduct of the elections is entrusted to the Municipal Electoral Commission of the Municipality of Dobrova-Polhov Gradec.

The elections will renew the councils of the four local communities that make up the municipality:

  • Črni Vrh
  • Dobrova
  • Polhov Gradec
  • Šentjošt nad Horjulom

The call was issued under file number 041-0019/2026-1 and signed in Dobrova on 1 September 2026 by the mayor, Jure Dolinar. It is a single-page notice published in the electronic edition of the gazette, which is issued free of charge by the Government Office for Legislation of the Republic of Slovenia.

The notice follows the standard procedure for local elections in Slovenia, whereby the mayor formally sets the polling date and the electoral calendar, and the municipal electoral commission is responsible for organising the vote across the local communities.

Relevance for residents

The call affects all residents of the Dobrova-Polhov Gradec municipality, who will elect the members of their local community councils on 15 November 2026. These councils represent the smallest tier of local self-government and play a direct role in decisions affecting each settlement, making the vote a key moment for civic participation in the municipality.
