Provincial Council of Huesca announces €195,000 for lifelong education in regions.

The Provincial Council of Huesca (DPH) has announced subsidies amounting to 195,000 euros for the Permanent Education Activities programme during the 2025-2026 academic year, aimed at the comarcas of the province. The call, approved by Decree number 2757, of 7 August 2026, of the Presidency of the DPH, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Huesca number 152, of 12 August 2026, with reference BOPH-2026-152002. Interested entities will have a period of 20 business days to submit their applications.

The extract is published in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, General Law on Subsidies, and its full text may be consulted in the National Subsidies Database (identifier BDNS 924473), on the DPH website and on the notice board of its electronic office. The document, signed in Huesca on 7 August 2026, is signed by Jorge Pueyo Moy, acting secretary of the Provincial Council of Huesca.

Beneficiaries and purpose of the aid

The comarcas of the province of Huesca that meet the required requirements may participate in the call, and the purpose of the aid is to carry out Permanent Education activities during the 2025-2026 academic year in the territory of Huesca. The regulatory bases of the General Ordinance approving the bases for the granting of subsidies by the Provincial Council of Huesca shall apply.

• The beneficiaries shall be the comarcas of the province of Huesca that meet the requirements of the call.
• In multi-provincial comarcas, only local entities whose territorial scope corresponds to the province of Huesca may benefit.
• Entities in which any of the causes of article 13 of Law 38/2003 concur are excluded, as are those that have been granted a nominal subsidy for the same purpose in the DPH’s current budget, in accordance with article 29.5 of Legislative Decree 2/2023, of 3 May, of the Government of Aragon (TRLSA).

Amount and award procedure

The total amount of the subsidies amounts to 195,000.00 euros, charged to budget item 41.3260.465000 «Call for subsidies for permanent adult education activities. Comarcas» (RC document No. 2026.2.0005971.000). The procedure shall be carried out through the simplified competitive concurrence procedure, with pro-rating of the credit among all applicants who meet the requirements.

• Pro-rating of the credit among all applicants who meet the requirements, in accordance with the rules provided in the call.

Deadline and compatibility of the aid

The deadline for submitting applications will be 20 business days counted from the day following the publication of the extract in the Official Gazette of the Province, that is, from August 13, 2026. The grants are compatible with other aid, income or resources for the same purpose, from any administrations, public or private entities, whether national, from the European Union or from international organizations, provided that the cost of the activity is not exceeded and that the sum of all public aid does not exceed 80% of its budget. The obtaining of other grants must be communicated to the Provincial Council of Huesca, both in the application and in the supporting documentation.

This call reinforces the DPH’s commitment to lifelong learning for adults, an essential service in the rural area of Huesca. Since management falls to the counties, the administrations closest to the municipalities, adult education programs will be able to maintain and expand their offering throughout the 2025-2026 academic year with guaranteed funding distributed according to competitive criteria.
