Por FactBox Admin

The Provincial Council of Granada has increased the allocation of the 2026 Sponsorship Plan by 800,000 euros for projects and events organized by private entities that generate advertising returns for the Sabor Granada brand, bringing the total to 1,800,000 euros. The measure is formalized by Presidential Resolution, with the assistance of the Governing Board, no. 258, dated September 22, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada no. 187, dated September 28, 2026, with reference BOP-GRA-2026-187003.
The agreement modifies Base 10 of the 2026 Sponsorship Plan call, approved by the Agreement of the Governing Board on February 2, 2026, modified by the Agreement of June 23, 2026, and published in the BOP no. 126, dated July 3, 2026. Competence corresponds to the Delegation of European Funds, Development, Industry, Employment, and Deputy Spokespersonship, by virtue of the Plenary Agreement of the Provincial Council of Granada of July 24, 2014, adopted in application of Law 27/2013, of December 27, and Decree-Law 7/2014, of May 20.
The file, number 2026049659, is based on the report from the Head of the Administration Service regarding the legality and appropriateness of the expansion of the available credit “based on the number of applications received.” The powers of the delegated deputy derive from Presidential Resolution no. 7296, dated November 27, 2025. The agreement is signed by Antonio Díaz Sánchez, Delegated Deputy for European Funds, Development, Industry, Employment, and Deputy Spokespersonship, in Granada on September 24, 2026.
What changes in Base 10
The modification increases the budgetary allocation of the call by 800,000 euros, such that the total amount increases from 1,000,000 to 1,800,000 euros. The first paragraph of Base 10 is rewritten as follows:
- “The budgetary allocation destined for this call shall amount to 1,800,000.00 € (One million eight hundred thousand euros), which may be subject to expansion through a resolution issued to that effect”.
The purpose of the call is to select projects and events eligible for sponsorship due to their capacity to generate advertising returns for the Sabor Granada brand and to achieve greater dissemination and promotion of the province. According to the published text, this return provides notoriety to the brand and allows it to reach a target audience by transmitting its values “in a close and direct manner.”
Financing charged to 2026 and 2027
The extension will be financed using credits from the General Budget of the Diputación de Granada for the 2026 fiscal year, under the budgetary application 232 43912 22602 “Sabor Granada, Agri-food Fairs and Events”. Credits from the same application planned for 2027 may also be used for sponsored events taking place that year, in accordance with the provisions of Base 8 of the call.
The agreement further orders the publication of the full text on the Electronic Office of the Diputación de Granada and an extract in the Official Gazette of the Province of Granada, a procedure fulfilled by its insertion in issue number 187 corresponding to Monday, September 28, 2026.
Target Audience
The recipients are private entities that organize projects or events in the province of Granada and are selected based on their ability to promote the Sabor Granada brand. The call is part of the activities to promote the agri-food and livestock sector carried out by the Diputación through the competent delegation.
The extension is a response to the volume of applications registered, according to the report incorporated into the file, which allows for a greater number of sponsorship proposals to be addressed within the fiscal year.
The decision significantly expands the available economic margin for the province’s associative and business fabric: entities organizing agri-food fairs, competitions, and events will have an additional 800,000 euros to apply for sponsorships linked to the Sabor Granada brand, with a final allocation that nearly doubles what was initially planned for 2026.
