Provincial Council of Ciudad Real: 8,683 euros per school in 2027 grants

The Provincial Council of Ciudad Real has opened the call for grants for the conservation, maintenance, and surveillance of municipal public schools, with an allocation of 8,683 euros per school or CRA section. The agreement of the provincial Governing Board dated November 3, 2026, approves the program “The Provincial Council in your school 2027”, the summary of which is published in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP) No. 215, dated November 6, 2026, under announcement number 3579 and the National Grants Database code BDNS 940005.

Regulatory framework and competent body

The call is processed under articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and is governed by the Regulating Regulation of the Economic Assistance and Municipal Cooperation Plan, approved by agreement of the Plenary of the Provincial Council on April 29, 2022, and published in the BOP No. 121, dated June 21, 2022.

The procedure is resolved based on objective criteria, without competition: the amount does not depend on the number of students or units in the center. Beneficiaries and use of the grant

The following entities in the province may apply for the grants:

• Municipalities of the province of Ciudad Real.
• Autonomous bodies dependent on said municipalities.
• EATIM (minor local entities) that request it.

The funds are intended for the conservation, maintenance, and surveillance of municipal public schools during the months of January to June 2027, corresponding to the 2026/2027 school year. Therefore, the call extends to all municipalities and EATIM in the province that submit their application within the deadline.

Deadline and electronic processing

The deadline for submitting applications ends on December 11, 2026. After this date, no requests for the 2027 fiscal year will be accepted.

Impact

The “The Provincial Council in your school” line transfers a fixed and known amount per center to the town halls, allowing small municipalities and EATIMs (Municipal Entities with Independent Management) to plan in advance the cleaning, security, and repairs of school buildings for the first semester of the academic year. For the smaller town councils, the grant acts as a guarantee for the maintenance of the educational service while students remain in the classrooms.
