Provincial Council announces grants for women's and LGTBI+ associations in the province

The Provincial Council of Ciudad Real has published the call for grants for programs and activities of associations that promote equal opportunities and respect for sexual diversity in the municipalities of the province, corresponding to the year 2026. The announcement, processed by the Social Services area, appears in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP) number 185, dated September 25, 2026, with announcement number 3053 and the National Grants Database identifier BDNS 931304. Interested entities have fifteen business days to submit their applications.

Two differentiated grant lines

The call comprises two lines of aid, both under a competitive bidding process:

• Line I: aimed at associations working for equal opportunities between women and men, to finance activities and programs related to actions and measures that make the principle of gender equality effective and promote the participation of women in all fields, especially employment training.
• Line II: intended for non-profit LGBTI+ associations—people from the lesbian, gay, transsexual, bisexual, and intersex collective—constituted and registered in official registries, that prove awareness-raising, information, training, and advisory actions for society in general and, specifically, for LGBTI+ people in the province of Ciudad Real.

Requirements and excluded entities

Non-profit women’s associations, or those that expressly include the defense of women’s rights and equal opportunities in their statutes, with headquarters and operations in the province of Ciudad Real, may access Line I. The requested activities must be carried out in the town where the requesting association is located.

For Line II, it is required that the entity’s statutes aim to make the guarantee of the rights of the LGBTI+ collective effective, with headquarters and operations in the province.

The following are excluded from the call:

• Foundations, federations, and confederations of associations that work with women or the LGBTI+ collective.
• Neighborhood associations and parent-teacher associations (AMPAs).
• Entities that maintain any source of funding for the current budget year with the Provincial Council through Social Services.

Bases, deadlines, and processing

For matters not provided for in the call, the modified General Ordinance regulating the bases for the granting of subsidies, approved by the Plenary of the Provincial Corporation in the session of February 7, 2025, and published in BOP number 67, of April 7, 2025, shall apply, together with Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, Law 39/2015 and Law 40/2015, both of October 1, and the Ordinance regulating the electronic management of administrative procedures of the Provincial Council.

The evaluation criteria are those contained in the call itself. The deadline for submitting applications is fifteen business days starting from the day following the date of publication in the Official Provincial Gazette. The full text of the call and its annexes can be consulted through the National Subsidy Advertising System, in accordance with the Resolution of 12/10/2015 of the State General Comptroller (BOE number 299, of 12/15/2015).

A framework of sustained support for the associative fabric

This call is added to other lines of the provincial institution regarding equality, such as the one approved by the Governing Board on September 15, 2026, for programs promoting the principle of gender equality aimed at city councils and EATIMs with fewer than 5,000 inhabitants (BDNS 930185), published in BOP number 181, of September 21, 2026.

For women’s associations and the LGTBI+ collective of the province, the call opens a specific funding route for their annual programs, with two separate lines and an application period limited to fifteen business days from publication; therefore, interested entities must prepare their documentation in advance.
