Provincial Council approves 230,000 euros for the swimming pool in Puebla de Don Rodrigo

The Plenary of the Provincial Council of Ciudad Real approved on September 30, 2026, a nominative grant of 230,000 euros in favor of the City Council of Puebla de Don Rodrigo to acquire a plot of land and carry out the necessary actions to create a municipal swimming pool, leisure, and recreation complex. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 191, dated October 5, 2026, under Announcement number 3170, and the file remains open for public inspection for fifteen business days.

The decision was adopted in an extraordinary session of the provincial corporation’s Plenary and consisted of the modification of the fortieth base of those regulating the current budget, with the inclusion of the aid in the budgetary application 29900.94200.762, titled “Nominative Grants. Municipal Assistance Area.” The publication corresponds to the Comptroller’s Office of the Provincial Council and bears the signature of the President, Miguel Ángel Valverde Menchero, in Ciudad Real on October 1, 2026.

The procedure complies with article 169.1, to which 177.2 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, refers, which approves the Revised Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, a regulation that requires the file to be submitted for public exhibition before its final approval.

A nominative grant of 230,000 euros

The grant is awarded directly and nominatively, without a competitive call, and its purpose is fixed in the agreement itself:

• Beneficiary: City Council of Puebla de Don Rodrigo.
• Purpose: acquisition of land and actions for the creation of a municipal swimming pool, leisure, and recreation complex.
• Amount: 230,000.00 euros.
• Total grant: 230,000.00 euros.
• Budgetary application: 29900.94200.762, “Nominative Grants. Municipal Assistance Area.”

The amount fully covers the declared object, such that the budget line is exhausted in this single action and is not distributed among several municipalities.

Fifteen business days for allegations

The file is submitted for public information for the purpose of possible claims for a period of fifteen business days, counted from the day following the publication of the announcement in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real and on the notice board. During this period, any interested party may examine the file and present the allegations they deem appropriate.

The matter on the Plenary’s agenda

The agreement appears as item 10 on the agenda of the extraordinary session of the Plenary on September 30, 2026, under the heading “Development of budget application credit 29900.94200.762 for the inclusion of a nominative grant in favor of the City Council of Puebla de Don Rodrigo”. Alongside this operation, the Plenary processed other credit modifications for nominative grants to city councils, including those included in applications 29900.94200.462 and 59900.34100.489, as well as Credit Modification File 25/2026, ninth of extraordinary credits and credit supplements.

The approval of this grant allows the City Council of Puebla de Don Rodrigo to have provincial financing to purchase the land and implement bathing and leisure facilities that the municipality lacks, with the consequent effect on the quality of life of the residents and on the summer leisure offer in the region. The public information period now opens the final window for interested parties to submit allegations before the aid is definitively consolidated.
