Por FactBox Admin

The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has opened the public information process for file 2142/2025, initiated at the request of Arigo 98, S.L., which requests an urban planning license for the construction of ten provisional padel courts, a prefabricated changing room module, and complementary equipment on a plot located at 18 El Draguillo Street, in the Southwest District. The announcement, with reference 1793234, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife number 106, dated September 4, 2026.

The opening of the process is in response to the Resolution issued by the Councilor-Director of the Municipal Urban Planning Management, dated August 27, 2026, and is being processed in the Licensing Service of the Autonomous Body of the Municipal Urban Planning Management. The procedure is carried out in compliance with the provisions of Article 25.4 of Decree 182/2018, of December 26, which approves the Canary Islands Regulation for the Intervention and Protection of Urban Legality.

A leisure project in the Southwest

The initiative proposes the installation of a temporary sports complex on a plot in the Southwest District, one of the residential areas with the highest growth in the Tenerife capital. In addition to the ten padel courts, the project includes a prefabricated changing room module and the complementary equipment necessary for its operation.

As it is a provisional license, the action is subject to the urban intervention regime provided for in the Canarian regulations, which requires the file to be made public before the municipal administration resolves the requested authorization.

Twenty days to submit allegations

The file will be available for inspection for a period of twenty days, counting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the official gazette. During this period, any interested party may examine the documentation and formulate any allegations they deem appropriate.

  • Deadline for allegations: twenty days from publication.
  • Resolving body: Municipal Urban Planning Management of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council.
  • Reference file: 2142/2025.
  • Promoter: Arigo 98, S.L.

How to consult the file

The documentation may be examined at the municipal offices of the Licensing Service, as well as through the City Council’s electronic office, where it will be available to interested parties during the public information period. Once the deadline has passed without any allegations being submitted, the procedure may continue its processing until the final resolution regarding the requested license.

The publication of this announcement represents one further step in the processing of a leisure project that directly affects the neighborhood of the Southwest District, which will now have the opportunity to express its opinion regarding a temporary sports facility in its immediate surroundings.
